Default Fanatics - Future of UFC trading cards?

https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/f...160327617.html

2nd paragraph of article:

The latest financing round was led by existing investors Silver Lake and Insight Partners, the source said. Endeavor, the owner of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), also invested in the round, the source added.

I know Panini heavily promoted UFC as the future at the Industry Summit. Anyone know the length of Panini-UFC license?

Both companies have only stated that the licensing agreement is "multi-year".

Fanatics used to handle UFC memorabilia and merch sales for a few years.... they were brutal with shipping. I.e. crudely folding an event poster and putting it in a box

I feel like Panini hasn’t done a good job whatsoever with UFC. Pumping out way too many products at way too high a price. I’d be fine with Fanatics taking it.

Interesting news.

I'm not that attached to Panini (prefer the older Topps UFC sets), but I'm also collecting some younger fighters who have only appeared in Panini products (e.g. Ciryl Gane, Brandon Moreno, Khamzat Chimaev).

Which means I gotta collect both: personal faves from older sets and Panini-only rookies. I'll probably just continue to do something similar once Fanatics takes over.

Topps cards were nicer, but they put minimal effort into putting new fighters into sets and getting them to sign redemptions (Ngannou). Panini will Panini it... print to death, pointless unnumbered parallels and stupid prices.

You've not opened a Topps box in a while then I take it?

You want green or carbon bubbles?
