Rolling 2021 Bowman Chrome Autograph Checklist Thread - Page 6

For my money, I count about 35 players who are interesting, then about 15 in this weird bad performance / hasn't done much yet / really too old at for their level guys who could become interesting.

Then we have the back 35 of the CL. Every single pitcher is here....i mean, there are interesting pitching prospects that exist, but they hit none of them (...granted, I would have expected myself to rank Juan Then higher, but he's been real bad this year. Butto is closest for me). There are also 6 Catchers here, which fills the Topps mandate...how many UDFA Role 30 catchers does one need in a CL?!?

Where is Luis Matos in the prospects set? I'm no expert, but I can't remember many times a guy had an auto only 1st one year, then saw his stock skyrocket into the top 100, and no base card the following year. So much for trying to build a PC of him ha.

I have 17 guys on my short list. I feel like the top 5 is really interchangeable though. Obviously I won’t get specific but 3-5 are gonna be a coin flip depending on what interests you.

I am super excited for this prospect. I think it is FAR superior to 2020, which has already had some nice hits.

Yeah I don't care about calling out those Top 5 because they're such a coin flip -- it's literally whoever you like best -- the (3) J15 high offense SS's, Peguero, and L-Rod. And you could even slip others into the back of that if you want.

Edit to add -- it's a top 6 -- I missed Preciado somehow.

I am not as excited about L Rod. I think I'm in the minority running into this release. I don't put him in my top 5.

Feels a LITTLE like 2019 chrome with the trio from that release. I hope we don't see the same SP situation here... takes a nice checklist and kinda spikes it in your face with the wax prices. Bloody nose. A real mess.

Pedro Leon will be an interesting one. Proximal to MLB. Track record of success (albeit against debatable competition). Should get a chance to play especially if he's able to play SS well enough in addition to OF where it seems like he's +. Seems to have some pop. May not hit enough. But I could say that about 95% of these guys.

I agree with L-Rod but I can't just ignore the scouting reports -- I don't evaluate 1st hand. For sure one can still fix their mouth to call him the top guy here.

I'm hook, line & sinker for a guy I'll be taking at #6 in Dave's draft that won't be mentioned that high, except in my sheet. Kinda just fell in love. This is that kinda checklist.

I'm hoping to catch Leon in person this Monday in Sugar Land.

I know they've made do, but I was a touch surprised the Astros didn't shore up their OF at the deadline, and at the time I wondered if it might signal a Leon arrival this season.

Take a look at Houdini's multi-case auctions, that will tell you what you need to know. In his 10 caser, 26-27 guys went for $1,000+ -- that is your list.

Have heard a few that made it in already and got cracked. Keep hearing good color in HTA, every box at least 1 color and some with 2

Not sure if people were expecting it or not, but base cards of Hedbert/Yolequi do not have 1st on them.
