This was likely due to the SPAC deal. They probably wanted a bunch of revenue right after the merger completed and TOPP was the ticker.

OMG, if Ginter X is even a penny over $25, no way I’m buying it! I’ll just let someone else have my Montgomery Club allocation!

Who cares how much it is, you’re dumb not to buy. Don’t know why everyone is so concerned over price. It is what it is, just enjoy being able to secure a box!

Probably gonna pass on this if Topps decides to double down on their overpricing of Ginter and puts this year's X set up at $200 or higher. You can buy last year's set for $200 on this website, which is cheaper than an equivalent box on Topps if you throw in a pack of penny sleeves to score the free shpping. At this point I think I'd rather throw some bread at Blowout and get a box of last year's set than indulge Topps' deathbed fever dream that Ginter is some premium set that anybody really cares that much about.

Paying up for Topps products at this point feels like over tipping a rich dying friend. I look at is as saying thanks for the memories.

With that said, I'm out over $150.

I also got an invalid message when following the Topps link. Try the Fedex site or app. I find that the app works best especially if you signed up for Fedex Delivery Manager.

Same thing for my pro debut boxes. First topps delayed them over 2 weeks. Now they say theyve shipped them , yet its been 5 or 6 days? with an invalid tracking # and no updates. All this of course after taking my money for something they said they had in stock supposedly. Almost feeling like theyre just trolling me along, almost.

Is the tracking number saying it was shipped Smartpost or USPS and not popping up when you enter it in the USPS site? If so, I'd give FedEx a shot. Those SmartPost/Economy tracking numbers have given me trouble in the past but work when entered in the FedEx tracker. Hopefully that is the case here. Best of luck!

Thanks for the tip , i went to the smartpost web site directly and entered the # and that worked. Well sorta. Shows me its stayed in pa for the last 5 days, but heh I can at least watch it there now.

Notwithstanding the different parallel offerings in AG-X, I never thought it was appreciably better than regular AG, so I agree with comments here that if over $150, I'm out. And actually, I could get AG Hobby on ebay for less than $150 so if it is over $125 I think I'll be out (and would be my first pass on an MC offering).

MC Exclusives I think are worth the buy regardless of price (within reason), but if only being offered it first, I think all MC members need to tread a bit more carefully. Just my 2 cents.

What is the difference between A&G and A&G X? Is X chrome? Or is it simply the same card, stock and all but just a black parallel version basically, with different parallels?

Basically. The base set and mini are all printed on black stock. Parallels have historically been red mini /5, silver mini /1, and then also have inserted mini NNO and stained glass mini.

The autos are all exclusive and numbered as well. There may have been full size autos inserted too last year, but I don't remember.
