Just created a list of multi-player cards.

Same old cast of characters. We are now even duplicating images. The number of Deion cards is really embarrassing.

Happy to spend a bit less today.

The Deion is weird and fluorescent yellow. What a mess.

The Tatis might be worse. It might be the worst Tatis in Project70.

The Alonso is kind of "icy cool." If it were the first 100 cards I might have bought it, but not really feeling it right now.

The Soto is fine but completing the Mister Cartoon set and the corresponding poster are my main reasons for biting on it.

1/4 today.

Hm, pretty non-exciting four pack today. Alonso, Soto, and Tatis all pretty much going through the motions for either the player or the artist. English Sanders is curious only in that I wasn't expecting Ron to choose such a player based on his previous selections.

I'm right there with you.

I saw the names before the images, and my first thought was that I have zero interest in seeing any more cards for any of these players. I understand the reason for choosing them, but I'm leaning towards the camp that feels this is in no way a representation of 70 years of Topps.

I pre-ordered three artist sets from Wheeler (Lauren Taylor, Chuck Styles, Jonas Never), and as of last week, I dropped 3-of-the-4 other artist sets I had going (Quiccs, Alex Pardee, Andrew Thiele). Matt Taylor is the remaining artist set I'm current on, that I've been buying week-to-week.

The shine is off the set for me, with the sheer size and number of repeat players being the main reasons. As one poster's signature says, "Buy what you want. Keep what you love." At this point, I think that sums it up nicely.

Anyone doing a home run derby subset?

Personally I’m digging Polar Bear subset and today’s is extra special featuring Gregory Siff’s bat and eldustino photo. The Ohtani card also has my HRD photo but I didn’t even notice until the card was in-hand. My buddy Matt shot the Soto card. That event was so fun, I’m in for any even though I can understand not liking them.

How? He's one of the most popular players of the 90's. A lot of these artists are around my age. As kids, we LOVED Deion. He was one of the first names I wrote down when I started brainstorming who my players would be. (Still holding out hope for that Pokey Reese card!!!)

I am not a huge Ben Baller fan but I am collecting the Alonso cards. So I will be buying that. I do like the Gregory Siff crossover via his bat.

How many project cards are there now with a photo you took?

Surprised we haven’t seen Dave justice or the Braves aces during that time either

He was a below average baseball player who doesn't deserve however many cards he now has in this baseball Project celebrating 70 years of baseball cards.

I agree. Heck I was a kid of the 80s/90s and I don’t get the “We loved Deion…”

I was going to say I thought my group must have been strange because we all hated him. Bo was the crossover guy that kids liked. Not Deion. Deion was a football player.

Agree. Deion was no Bo Jackson.

I don’t believe Bo Jackson should have as many P70 cards as he has either TBH.

I feel like the list of available athletes to choose from is a lot shorter than we are lead to believe... a lot of these repeats really don't make sense

As of today we're up to just the 3 (Posey, Ohtani HRD photo, BB Alonso) but I know of one more coming soon I'm pumped about. I kind of expect a Tatis one of these days, the Snoop one is really similar to some of my photos from 2020 season when we were shooting from the stands, but that's not my image. The next one I know about, is one I'm really happy about even though there will be some groaning about the subject.

Same here - the Chipper card was a nice start but 90's Braves players deserve more than Deion cards and one Chipper Jones.

Deion Sanders was a player i was looking forward to.

the only problem is, most of them sucked. the don c was horrible, as was the blue. the others were tolerable, just not for me.
i have really enjoyed the last two, however.

the cartoon/snoop is real nice.
i like the ron english as well. his set has turned into like a mash up of 1970 topps, 1948 leaf style player printing, and wall paper. i am a little disappointed he changed the direction of the set (i think topps told him to tone it down), we will never get a mouse on a mantle. we will never get a frozen head giving a TED talk. We will never get a don slaught onslaught. I do like wallpaper though. So there is that.
