One thing is for sure, sports figures really should just stay off of social media (everybody really).
You can think what you want, but it goes against what Jordan did his whole career. He still dealt with media just as much (or more) than what players do now, yet nobody can say a time Jordan went through the media to talk about a teammate, say how disrespected he was, say how good he was going to be when he came back, etc....

Why doesn't Jordan engage with Twitter today? He's certainly still talked about daily in the sports world and on shows.

Definitely agree with your last point though! It does nothing, but make people look dumb.

Timelord just signed a 4yr/54m extension with Boston that locks him up until 2026.

I love the deal for the Celtics, yes it's risky but it's a smart risk. He showed a ton of potential last year. If he stays healthy it's a bargain. If not he's not terribly difficult to move.

This is Kardashian level gossip.
The biggest difference is that MJ didn't need to go through the media. Dude would just go out and dominate.

Bron doesn't seem to do that, normally it means he just adds Superstars to his team stacking the deck, then wins some of the time, then shouts "I did it"

Just a different guy, still never seen such an insecure Superstar in my life.

People act like the media didn't harass MJ. Dude got hammered about going to Atlantic City during a PO series. The dude had it written in the newspapers that his gambling debts lead to his Father's death for effs sake. He had to face up and answer some of this dribble. And then he just went out and won.

Bron can't handle any little slight. And he certainly hasn't shown he can back it up himself, usually it means he needs more horses.

I doubt it when asked about why he never spoke up for social justice in his day he said the other side bought shoes too. The guy was smart enough not to want to tick off people because he wanted to come across as the nice guy so no matter what you spent your money to buy his stuff.

The schedule is out....and it looks pretty wonky.

All the west coast teams have stretches where they play multiple games on the road in the Midwest, fly back to the west coast for a single home game, and then fly right back to the Midwest to continue the road trip.

The Warriors have a Denver-Utah-SF-Dallas-New Orleans-SF-Memphis-Milwaukee-Chicago-Minnesota 18-day stretch.

The Lakers have a Memphis-OKC-LA-Dallas-Minnesota-Chicago stretch as well as a Minnesota-Toronto-Washington-Cleveland-LA-New Orleans-Dallas-Utah stretch.

The Clippers have a an 11-game road trip broken up by a single home game which forces them to go San Antonio-LA-Denver in the middle.

Portland has a 10-game road stretch broken up by a home back-to-back which has them going Toronto-Portland-Houston in the middle, as well as a later 9-game road stretch broken up by a single home game that has them going Minnesota-Utah-Portland-Atlanta-New York in the middle.

Just some really brutal travel for the west coast teams that the NBA could surely have avoided...

Here we go again with the whole “superstar” thing. Nowadays some of you call everyone a superstar. Love, Bosh, Kyrie and AD are superstars…right. Thats why they won so many playoff games and MVPs on their own.

Fact is theres only 4-5 superstars in the league. Top 25-30 players arent superstars.

So you admit that Jordan never played with a superstar then either? Just for clarification....

And LOL at thinking Kyrie and AD are just top 25-30 players...

Yeah it's hard to take someone serious that comes up with random names that I didn't even mention.

Love and Bosh are clearly All Stars.

Kyrie's role in winning a chip with Bron was kinda a big deal.

AD is 100% a Superstar.

Westbrook has been an MVP.

Oh yeah, but they were all scrubs before Bron amirite? Bron didn't even get Ingram, Lonzo and Kuz in to the Playoffs but his fanatics wanna come at Bron's help when they couldn't take worse players nowhere too..

The Bron fanatical logic is a thing of beauty

I still don’t think anyone is offering more than Sexton, Love, and a Pick

Not even saying the Cavs are… but it was a rumor before the draft if you think they aren’t committed to paying Sexton

But if they did? I’m still not seeing what the Sixers think they are going to get

I think Minnesota offers more....

Russell
Beasley
Beverly
Pick or multiple picks.

It makes sense for the Wolves to try and build around Simmons, Edwards, and Towns than the Cavs Garland, Simmons, Okoro, Allen, and Mobley.

If they offer that? More power to them

I’m an irrational Russell fan though

And I’m not of Sexton and what he wants paid

What a load of BS, Philly are gonna have a hard time getting better by trading him unless they get Lillard. Danny Green had a lot to say about it.

I think the Wolves give as much as they can also. Towns and Simmons is an incredible fit. Add in that the goal for them would be Playoffs instead of title.

I'm still intrigued by the Simmons to GS stuff, but that would need to have a 3rd team involved.

Either way, Philly have sh*t down their leg. Poor leadership from Doc and Embiid have lead to this.

Simmons to Sac is fun also. I don't see how Philly get any better from that though.

I love this circus though.

Kings would be interesting. The big if is how high they are on Haliburton and Mitchell.

Halliburton at 4 million seems like a better choice…

Source: There’s a high chance that Tyrese Maxey will be a part of any Ben Simmons trade.
Rich Paul would like both of his clients out of Philadelphia.

A few local Philadelphia based organizations had planned on partnering with Maxey on some community events. They were told to cancel those plans. Paul would not like Maxey to grow roots in Philly if he could be gone.

So Simmons craps his pants in the playoffs, then says he'll hold out of training camp. Huh.
