No it hasn’t tanked. Ebbed and Flowed, but key cards are maintaining their value.
Someone just purchased an Asuna JR Mint 1 card for 32k yesterday. It froze for awhile as liquidity became a problem. But Wax being added to Binance will help with liquidity a lot. Also people have been waiting on the Series 2 release, but as we know now Topps has been a little distracted. But once Topps wipes themselves off, expect them to release another Series or two before their licensing runs out, which will also spark this market more. Another thing which has frozen the market some is people wondering if Topps will only release future Series on their new marketplace or if they will continue on the Wax network. There are arguments for why they might do either. But one of the top guys at Topps digital has confirmed a few times that either way they will eventually build a bridge that will allow people to move these to Topp’s NFT marketplace if they wish to sell them there or keep them on the Atomichub. Basically adding Wax to Binance is huge as so many people didn’t know how to get wax to buy these or how to cash out once they sold. Don’t get me wrong I’m still a holder of way more traditional physical cards then I am of NFT cards. But people who are into physical cards don’t need to feel threatened, one is not replacing the other, they can both coexist and even compliment each other. I think the more people collecting baseball stuff of any type is ultimately good for the Hobby. The fact is that if you read about Fanatics plans and Topps plans and Panini's plans etc, they are all moving into the NFT space heavily, so regardless of people’s thoughts on NFT’s they are coming and will be pushed by all the major companies. So then it becomes a matter of what will hold value over time. If you think Fanatics with their Candy NFT marketplace is the place to bet on then wait for that. If you think Panini and their unlicensed baseball NFT’s and little history with baseball is the investment then go with those. I personally think that Topp’s officially licensed first NFT’s, and the first NFT’s for many major league players, will be more sought after long term. |

This is disappointing news for those of us who liked the WAX release and platform in general:

Yep such a dropped ball imo. Sold off a bunch of my higher valued items and I’m OUT. Might still participate in other WAX projects because I do like the platform and crypto but Topps messed this one up.

This might do as well as the soccer nft debut a couple weeks ago. I passed and I think it didn’t come close to selling out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Still trying to figure out, this ToppsNFT website, it's all still stored on a Topps server, right?
If so, it's not decentralized (non IFPS). 5 years down the road, Topps may decide this whole thin was a bad idea and not worth it, they pull the plug and everything dies. At this point, it's basically a more cumbersome and complicated version of the BUNT app. What happens when they lose the MLB license, they going to shut the server down or restrict trading like they did in HUDDLE? That was the beauty of the NFT collectible and IFPS, you can't kill it. That being said, I'm still a believer in NFT's and WAX as a whole, maybe not Topps though. I'm still going to pick up some of the Topps MLB cards when the price is appropriate though.

I really wish I had hung onto the 18k or so WAXP I had accumulated before buying more S1 and cashing out the rest. Oof—this is on fire.

no kidding, still have unopened pack, regular, was only able to get the 10 regular packs on drop. Have about 25 cards left..
plus Robotech,,, would love to find someone to take it off my hands. I did try a Neil Leifer pack, thought this would have done better at release, being real photography and a chance, albeit, very small chance at getting a physical framed photo as well. |

I started listing my stuff based on USD since WAXP is moving so much, but I've only been able to move a few low-end tokens. I'd guess that if I'm lucky I'd get 15-20% of the current estimated values, which is really a shame because this had such great potential. |

So divided. Waxp/atomic , ToppsNFT, Avalanche. If everything stayed on one coin/platform it would be much more ahead.

So our Topps nfts on the platform are nearly worthless but the wax continues to go up?
I’d sold off most of my “cards” but held Trout, Soto, some golds and some RCs. Those continue to crater in value Ooookay then |

Right now NFTs are still in the infancy stage, I would have to believe that in order for NFTs to be the wave of the future there will have to be a greater cross utilization among all the different platforms. Can't really succeed too well with a 101 different platforms and none of them being able to move from one to another. |

WAXP is going up due to all the other NFTs on atomic, etc? Really like wax because the platform was expanding . Topps was only 1 NFT of many.
