His Blowout username is elimanningbase and his ebay username is kicksandcards100
Non paying bidder. Specifically stated on my auction not to bid if there is no intention or can't make the payment and yet he wins and still hasn't paid and refuses to answer number of my msgs both on ebay and on here on Blowout. The card was 2017 Select Patrick Mahomes Field Level RC PSA 10 I know he got the msgs because was active on Blowout as of this morning at 11:43AM. I am really getting tired of these non-paying bidders and especially coming from a Blowout member makes it that much more disappointing. Anyways, feel free to put him on the block list |

How many days has it been?
You do know that language often encourages non payers. I very rarely have them set your blocks for those with 2 strikes are auto blocked. In the end a non payer is better than a problem paying bidder. Sending multiple messages for payment is another action that seems to encourage non-payment or that they become an issue after payment. From eBay's Spring Update
f a buyer hasn't paid after 5 calendar days, you can cancel the transaction. Personally, we prefer the 7 day policy eBay used to have in place.

Nope, they don't do that anymore, once it filed its immediatly closed. He has sent multiple messages begging for payment all that does is pisses a buyer off to the point they may not pay or if they do pay they become a bigger headache.

Also back to the OP leaving false positives for non-payers is a good way to get your account suspended if the buyer reports you. Last edited by shrevecity; 08-16-2021 at 08:12 PM. |

nah, there is a difference between not making the payment for 4 days and completely ignoring your msgs for 3 days after winning a relatively big ticket item. Had he told me that he will make the payment in 5 days or even 7 days, I would have had no problems with that. In fact, some buyers have asked me that before and I have happily obliged as they were upfront and honest about their situation.
What rubs me the wrong way is not responding to any of my messages for the 3 days and I know he clearly has no intention of making the payment. I also know that he got my msgs because you can see when he was last active on Blowout. I just think winning an item on ebay and ghosting the seller is just tacky thing to do. Yes I am aware of that and I don't plan to do that. I just don't plan to ever deal with this loser and just move on.

You buy an item, you pay for it. Simple. (Then you dont even chance receiving messages asking for payment)

Had a high grade fever and flu sunday through earlier this morning is when I snapped out of it. I only know about this thread through a friend. I also just checked all the messages on blowout and ebay today. You sent me a lot of messages when I believe I still had time to pay for the card. I apologize for the mishap, I intended to pay for the card, but sometimes life happens. It wasnt on the forefront of my brain as I was very ill. You dont have to believe me, I really dont care. We wont do business again, much success and health to you and your people.

As I wrote to you earlier, simple heads up would have helped. I have been in your situations before many times as well but always came through with a payment or shipping out an item in time or at least been able to communicate to the seller or a the buyer the situation I had been in. This is why I have a perfect feedback on ebay (9200+) and mind you I don't do this for living. I have a full time job in finance and I do this as a hobby but I care about doing things the right way. I have high standards for myself and I guess I just expected the same from others. Good luck to you and as a human to another human, I really hope you feel better and stay healthy.

Maybe the seller should have been a bit more patient as well. This thread was made not even 3 days after the sale over a weekend at that. Op admitted to sending multiple messages for payment in that time. I would have intentionally drug my feet if the seller did that. Ebay rules give a buyer 4 days like it or not that's how it is. If op cancelled prior to that time the buyer could rightfully neg him

Not sure why you would necessarily go out of your way to just give the seller a hard time just because he is asking for your timing of the payment. Why not make this hobby a little more pleasant by being more corresponsive and accountable? I just don't get people like you. Also you asked why couldn't I be more patient, I think you are missing the point. I could easily have been patient had the buyer practiced the common courtesy to just communicate with me that there will be a delay in the payment because he was ill. I would have easily waited and be "patient". I have done that MANY times in the past. If the buyer had the energy to check Blowout a several times a day then I think he would have had enough energy to write that. Maybe he was really really sick that he couldn't move his fingers then I do feel bad for him. Maybe it is just me, I don't purchase things unless I plan to make the payment right away or if I can't, at least, I let the seller know when the payment is coming so that he doesn't need to wait for my payment anxiously, especially if it is an expensive item. I think that is the right protocol and etiquette to follow. |

It much better to have a non-paying buyer than a buyer who pays but is upset with you from the get go. A paying buyer can cause far worse damage and harm to the seller than a non-paying buyer ever can. I will take 100 non-payers over 1 who does a fraudulent return. I think there is a reason some sellers seem to have more non-payers than others. I run auctions and accept lots of offers weekly and have had this year 4 non-payers. Its because they try to force the payment. I see many buyers here who gt reported as non-payers that have bought from me before with little or no issue. I think sellers often cause more of their own problems. It is no reason for a seller to get upset or be anxiously awaiting the payment. I don't even think about it. Ebay can be as stressful as you make it. Worrying about payment is one stress sellers make that is just not worth it. I have had many buyers along the way who win auctions that I sit back and hope they don't pay and would prefer they did not. Like I mentioned earlier when I had back surgery a few years ago I won an auction and my meds kicked in I woke up 6 or 7 hours later and had 4 messages from the seller demanding payment. You are damn right I ignored them and waited just shy of 4 days AFTER he opened the claim to pay. If a seller wants to be an idiot I can be one right back. The policy is a buyer has 4 days now that is in stone with Ebay. So it is what it is, like it or not. Last edited by shrevecity; 08-20-2021 at 03:40 AM. |

Ahh the old “I have a life” excuse . Don’t you love how that always comes after a sickness?
While “having a life” you bid on a card. Therefore why not pay right away. You don’t need to leave your house to pay so stop with the lies, no one buys em.
