Luckily I did the same. 1 of each that seemed like they had upside going into last season. However none of them popped or came all that close to making big strides last year. Still can happen in year three, but window is starting to close. I still like Keldon, KPJ, RJ, Hunter, PJW, Garland, & Herro but the potential for being a star instead of solid starter starts to dip dramatically with another 1800 minutes of mediocre play in year 2.

Along with that a family member came down with COVID and we were all in close contact over the weekend. We found out and took rapid + PCR tests, which all came back negative. We waited until the 5 day window (today) to re-test which all came back negative so we are starting to catch up tonight, over the weekend, and next week.

As for your exact case I am a little confused. There is no additional charge for 2 day fedex just if you ask for overnight fedex. So please make sure you know what you asked for so we can provide the service that you want. If it popped Monday the earliest it is back is today but most likely won't be processed until early next week at this point. Please reach out to groupsubs@pcsportscards.com and they will be able to assist you if you need to change anything.

Thanks for the reply, and yeah I didn't realize that the cards are not in hand when that email comes. If anything, it probably just ensures I get the cards early to mid next week instead of next weekend, which is my fantasy draft where I'll be in no shape to handle cards anyway. Glad to hear your tests are negative, please stay safe. The "additional charge" I alluded to was not an actual expedite, just the higher shipping charge for 2 day vs Ground, so I'm good at this point.

Mine is probably a Khris Davis Prizm silver RC. Decided to throw that into a bulk sub, because why not? A '13 Davis green prizm PSA-10 auctioned for $5.67 in July. So I've got that going for me.

13 orders out of research
57 out of grading
9 more in assembly
7 less in QA 1

and the grand daddy of em all 55 pops. I think 50 pops per week is gonna be our new norm. Please understand there will be delays and we are looking for even more staff to try and alleviate this. Orders are popping fast and furious.

Since july 28th I've had 4 20 day subs POP from last year damn they are churning these out now!

Hey Josh, question about payment. Each sub im sending only a handful of cards to consignment to help pay for the sub but not enough to fully pay it off. I didn't expect these subs to be popping off back to back so quickly to one another so now they are overlapping and adding a cumulative total to my owed balance. My first sub was STANDARD 2020.180 which popped on july 28th and my most recent one popped last night (STANDARD 2020.203). By the time the cards I sent to consignment from 203 get posted, processed, and paid for, it might be six weeks that 2020.180 has gone outstanding without being fully paid off. How do yall normally want us to handle this? Should I figure out how much left I owe from that sub and send that partial payment or just wait till all my cards to consignment from each sub get processed and paid for then just pay off the total balance for all 4 subs? I ask this because I remember your e-mail about non payers after a month get their cards sent straight to consignment, I definitely dont want that to happen and I also dont want you to think im being a deliquent lol. Thanks

so with ~1400 orders still at PSA and ~50 popping per week, they should be able to clear the PCS backlog by the beginning of 2022?

Might be a sign of optimism that we get some sort of affordable grading option back for next year. I know there's a ton of other crap in the backlog, but I think PCS is the biggest / one of the biggest group subs out there, and they were subbing heavily up until the shutdown, so this should serve as a large enough sample to predict how much backlog is still remaining.

If you have cards on consignment they are in a different part of the office not the unpaid shelf. You could always pay off your balance from a sheet to have remaining cards shipped then get a payout as we go through the cards.

That's tough to beat cause there is no upside even if it Gems. At least with the bball, a 10 could possibly go for $15-30 of even the worst prospects.

Haha yeah I like this idea, so I looked through all my subs and they’re all pretty much either junk wax HOFers from 89-92 (bulk subs) or ultra modern rookies/parallels/stars (mostly standard but some bulk as well), so I’m only in trouble if some of the really low end stuff doesn’t gem. Anything that gets a 10 I’ll at least make my money back in the worst case scenario. Probably the cheapest card I subbed is a base Tyler Herro Chronicles Marquee, which is still $25 as a 10. But if it doesn’t gem then I’m in trouble. Good thing I didn’t have too many of these in my subs.

Thats what most estimates say, backlog shoukd be mostly cleared out by late spring

What I have learned from baseball this year is you have to have the cards listed BEFORE the big event. From here on out I'm going to try and be the lowest priced BIN on players where that number his higher than my "true" value (or whatever you want to call it).

In other words, if Joey Gallo hits a couple of HR in the Field of Dreams game tonight I will sell all the cards I didn't sell at the trade deadline because they were auctions set to end on Friday instead of Wednesday or Thursday.

We’ve been roughly 5% of the back log and are definitely the largest.

My thought exactly. PSA will also need to start building the backlog back up before it runs out, so 4Q 2021 would be a reasonable expectation for low level service starting back up. The big question is at what price level?

Wow, there’s always one that sneaks ahead. I have a bulk sub that was submitted 5 months before this one that hasn’t even moved out of R&ID yet, haha. However, I just looked at my second oldest bulk sub (2020.374) and it looks like it just moved to QA2! Most of the older stuff is moving, nice to see. That one is my first shot at subbing some junk wax cards, I’m interested to see how I do with those.

Haha yeah man, those hanger case purchases worked out great for you. Most, if not all, of the Mahomes copies I pulled were clean too.
