Those Optics (especially the base and holos) are condition sensitive and without looking at the pop report I'm guessing it's very low for this card. Could be legit.

You are correct. As an example the Prizm Holo PSA 10 is a pop of 18.

And the rated rookie Prizm is pop 8 in PSA 10

I'm leaning towards legit( or at least it's a price that seems reasonable). That pop is not going to grow much at all. I doubt it will ever exceed 50. Probably not exceed 20.

As OP said, see if it gets relisted. If I had a spare $1000 I'd buy it. I think his unlicensed cards are undervalued.

That Optic sale is a classic case of two people putting in a nuclear snipe and getting called on it. I've employed the nuclear snipe many, many times in my day and there's always that hope that the card is going to go for what it "usually" does or the item just doesn't get any eyeballs and it skates by.

It's awesome when it works. When you run into another nuclear snipe, it sucks. But even my nuclear snipes were figures I were willing to pay for the item, that's how bad I wanted them. I was just hoping for the easier way out.

I would bet good money the winner paid.

Now I thought about waiting until the off season to take a stab at one of these, but when I thought of it getting lower than 2k, I’m not sure that happens…keep in mind I’m a low to mid end collector and not wealthy

. So it matters for me “when to jump”.
