I was a few wins away from completing the BR program today and took 99 Verlander as the high diamond in my final run. First time I recall taking a diamond pitcher in BR but had to give a test drive.

Circle-change plays really well off of the outlier FB, and it had both opponents flailing. Cutter feels like it has more break than rating screen indicates and goes up to 97. Slider plays up to around 90 which is fast enough to go high with it if careful imo.

2-0, 4 IP, 7Ks, 0.00 ERA, .50 WHIP - all on All Star. Tiny sample but was the most fun I've had pitching all year. Not going to drop 500k stubs on the card but will be scooping for sure when it goes below 200k

Skipping milestones so finished everything besides 1 each awards (50k buy order), 1 future star (30k buy order) and 1 sig (waiting for easier of Evo Turner and player program on Friday). Showdown super easy had all 20 runs into final, didn't feel like quitting out of games for Robinson hits and the other tiny point moments

Debuted recently-acquired awards Justin Verlander in the event. 15 Ks, 1 hit, 1 BB, 0 ER over 5.1 against a guy with a pretty fair record.

Too early to say but thinking the best SP in the game by a pretty wide margin at this point (esp while he's relatively rare compared to someone like deGrom). Circle change is just so devastating

I had a very busy work schedule early august and then last weekend (really most of last week) I was at my girlfriends sisters wedding, so I finally had time this week and this weekend to sit down and grind

Finished up Roberts and Clemente, almost done Zimmerman. Have a massive haul of packs from the programs and conquest. Plan is to have a big pack rip after the shark map on Tuesday once that’s all finished up

Shark map tomorrow, with how light conquest maps have been this year, this shark map better be LOADED

I expect at least 1 ASG, 1 HR Derby, 1 Field of Dreams, and a couple Kitchen Sink packs

You guys sticking with mlb or switch to MUT? Havent touched RS for like 5 weeks but keeping up with dailies. Mut looks dumb from the trial with how they switched up season and overall xp gains and I haven't done any dailies

I split my time on both.

Imo, they completely nerfed everything about MUT in Madden.

I used to be able to grind and have a pretty good team for NMS. This year, not only does it take longer to level up, but the rewards for level up are putrid. 10k coins here n there, 2 maybe 3 free packs, 2 free players. Outside of that, its pitiful minute training, pitiful strategy cards, or gold or better players

They also killed the value on platinum/coin quicksell cards

1 strategy i had last year was to play solo draft against cpu. 6 games netted you 18k coins plus packs. This year? Its only 4 games and you get pitiful 3k coins and handful silver players and 1 gold

It wasnt necessarily the case at least last few years, but now it definitely seems MUT is pay to PLAY much less win

Back to Mlb, the free Miggy looks like a beast. But his 1st 2 cards are useless and a headache to finish the moments with

So I’ve given it some thought, and I’m not a fan of how they did LS collection this year

I much preferred 2020 when you got 3 new legends

This year with just Soriano, and yeah Ortiz is great and everyone loves Chipper, but it’s just really nice when you have new legend 99s available early on and can use them throughout the year

We are coming up on September and we are still waiting on Pedro, Hank Aaron, Valenzuela, and Puckett for new legend 99s.

I think we will see Pedro tomorrow but that still means 3 new legend 99s we won’t have and we are into September.

Not sure what they’re going to do for those guys, I doubt they put them behind the extreme wall that is surely coming soon. I think Valenzuela will be a WS reward because his 91 was a program boss. Puckett was the Twins collection reward and we’ve had a few Aaron’s. I’m hopeful we can get those 99s sometime in September

And then still waiting on Mantle/Mays/and co. Plus they better give us 99 FS Adley this year

Agree. Thinking Brett will actually be a rare enough pick to be a possible investment target

Gotta say, was very excited for Pedro and and still am mostly, but the card looks quite pedestrian compared to Verlander, deGrom, and the other perfect/no-no guys. 102 h/9? Pfft.. From 1997 to 2003, he had lowest h/9 in the league 5 out of 7 years.

98 SS Andrew Miller dropped as a headliner today. Big W there. Always one of my favorite guys to trot out of the BP and looks insane as usual. 125 k/9 as base and will be 125 h/9 with parallel 5.

Already picked up 97 Chapman, 99 Kenley, Gossage, Mo, so this should basically complete my pen other than Billy Wagner.

Getting dangerously close to time for me to put this game away for the year.

Theyve basically nerfed/tanked the US conquest map now for no reason.

It hit a drop when they 1st changed it to all 5 prospects per pack, but once Mo collection and Mookie dropped prices rebounded.

As of last week, before Shark conquest, prospects were steady at 4-5k each, meaning you could grind the map, get exp for inning program, AND make roughly 100-110k.

Then, for some stupid reason, they put 2 prospects packs in the Shark conquest. And now 2 more in the 6 inning Spiral.

So now id be lucky to make 60k, and for utterly no reason. Sucks too as i was able to scoop up a lot of cards, but prices keep going up.

Way to go SDS!

New 35k daily XP cap is a serious, serious L for me and I'm guessing many others.

I only game 1 or maybe 2 days a week when lucky, but I usually go 12+ hrs on the chosen day. I've maxed out XP each inning except one this year and I think each time it has been on the final day of the inning. No way in hell I will be able to do that now

First with dailies and now even moreso with this, I feel like SDS is trying to pigeon hole players into playing how they want (2-3 hrs per day) vs just allowing player freedom.

I get that they are may be trying to prevent boosting, but I feel like therr may be more to it than that. I have no idea but I'm guessing when game streaming really takes hold, something like the daily player count could be a desired metric

Anyway, no matter the underlying cause, I feel like I may not be playing this game as much going forward

Nerfing Pedro was the dumbest thing I’ve seen in awhile. Make him ridiculous, he’s incredible. You’ve got Topps Now cards with better H/9.

Should’ve made a Pedro Cy Young card from that ridiculous season where his whip was .7
