Well flagship stands for Topps base set (Series 1, 2 and Update)

Ohtani has#700 in Series 2 and #US1 in Update. So to answer your question, both are flagship rookies.

If your question is which flagship is the preferred one, than answer is #700.

If your question is what is his best RC, then you don’t know what flagship stands for.

Reading back what I posted I can see why it came off as snarky. Sorry about that, it wasn’t intentional. I meant it to just point out you might be confused on what flagship means. Didn’t mean anything about that, sorry.

If you are looking for what his best RC is, that is still pretty subjective. His BC RC is probably still #1, but it is starting to come down a bit, but it is his first licensed RC. If you want just has base Topps RC it would be #700, but that would be beat out by his TC #150 if you like the shiny.

Then the parallels will always go higher and be more desirable. I personally am a fan of his TC #150 Refractor. That one is about $250-300 and is pretty stable.

Yeah, I tend to do stupid things, like sell off large chunks of a player's cards before they're value peaks. But I decided with the 2018 rookie class I wouldn't sell their base refractor PSA 10s that I have. Prism refractor? Gone. Pinks? Gone. Golds? Gone. But I still have my base refractor for all the big names and I'm really happy I did that. Thinking about making that a permanent rule.

Beautiful. Good experience with SGC? I just sent in my first submission to them.... a Dimaggio pinnacle auto, a Trout superfractor, and a Bobby Richardson rookie. Figured I'd give them a chance due to the PSA insanity.

The link takes me to a 2018 topps on demand dual auto with Trout sticker autos numbered 5/5. Card sold for $12,201 as a private listing. The last 3 bids were: $4,000, $12,101, and $12,201.
