Got notice from Paypal last night that some clown is doing a chargeback on an NFT he bought from me a couple weeks ago. Claims he didn't make the purchase. While I guess this could be true, I'm betting he just got in over his head.

Any suggestions to fight this? And any way to avoid it in the future?

Ugh. Give as much evidence to how this transaction happened as possible to paypal.

Panini should not be using Paypal for this exact reason.

I bought 1 pack at above the sold out price, but I didn't want to have to try and fight everyone once it got in the low $500's. I overpaid a bit but in the grand scheme spending a little extra shouldn't make much of a difference. Either these will be a home run at some point or I just wasted $500+ We shall see, but with only 300 packs I wanted to make sure I got one

This will continue to be a problem until the morons at Panini develop some type of historical sales platform showing all cards and their history.

Hearing about chargebacks would make me weary of selling high dollar stuff on this platform. It's one thing selling $5 or so cards, but four figures for these..I'd be super nervous worrying about chargebacks

New PayPal fees as of yesterday at 3.49%+.49 per transaction are making these low dollar base even worse of a value.

I wouldnt believe any “sold” prices on their platform.

I see about 40 total now on auction and public gallery.

Interesting pull for sure. Lots of upside and he doesn’t turn 21 until December but he is out for quite a while. And shoulder injuries are a slow recovery if you want to prevent re-injury. I doubt he is back to 100% at any point next season but he will probably be a long term piece next to Trae after Capela moves on. Kinda puts you in a weird spot to either sell now or wait at least 18 months, which is how long it will probably take Panini to fix the marketplace functions.

Are some of these offer prices in the public gallery legit? If you told me there’s be $250 offers on Norman Powell, Marvin Bagley, and Jonathan Isaac I would’ve bought 10 when they hit ~$600.

Exact same thing happened to me. Was the guy’s name Edward Cuevas by any chance?

I haven’t even responded to PayPal yet. It’s only $10 but this platform can’t work if people are able to do this.
