Dove back in to my box today. Pulled out my Busios and Pepis. I forgot I picked up a pile of Pepi in addition to what I opened.

I love this product. Keeps giving and giving and giving.

Agree! We are going to be going back into our boxes a few more times, too, I think. (Maybe until 2026). Tessman just moved to Serie A. Tajon is bound to move. Pomykal is finally fit. Paredes is Tajon 2.0, and the younger group of guys like Bassett, Cowell, Nyeman, and Rutty may be even better.

Daryl Dike may gain the attention of the US Market and outshine Pulisic soon IMHO. You might want to start snagging his RC's now before they get too crazy as I think they will if he keeps playing this well, and I don't see why he won't. He's only going to get bigger and better.

Agreed. Pulisic is only the beginning of the wave of talent we have coming through.

I thought that was Freddy Adu and Danny Szetela?

Or do you guys pretend those dudes didn't exist these days?

There are a long list of players between Pulisic and Dike imo. Dike hasn't even made it to a top 5 league yet. Yunus Musah, Konrad De La Fuente, Giovanni Reyna, Brendan Aaronson, Cade Clark, Josh Sargent are all attackers playing in Europe's top 5 along with Pulisic. Dike is good but I see no evidence he will outshine Pulisic when none if the above mentioned have with more success and hype.

This! One of the best products have ever bought. Every month or so I check the cards and a new player has hit form or got linked to a move. Still have a 1/1 am keeping of one of the DC United players and am hoping he progresses. This set was a really good move from Topps.

I just find his style of play more appealing to the fan base, not his talent. Just my gut telling me this, nothing more. I'm often wrong, but sometimes, correct.

While he did good, he didn't exactly set the English second division alight. There's a vast gulf of talent between Dike and Pulisic.

Pulisic is literally the best player your country has ever produced, aside from a couple of Goal Keepers.

Maybe the PR is TOO low on these? You need some activity to keep the market interested.

Pepi scores a hat trick... youngest ever in MLS... things like this with headlines and highlights are the stuff of hype machine dreams that drive irrational price movements.

Pepi only has 3 bowman listings total on ebay - 4 cards (one listing has 2 blues available). 1 less than yesterday because a base BIN got hit for a base at $30. 2 of those are COMC (where there are 3 total cards if you frequent that). Lowest price is $62 for a base (you'd have to go and buy it on COMC) and $99 for a blue (2 available in that listing).

Aaronson off to a great start in Salzburg. Come on at half and had assist and winning goal in 2-1 win.

Kasey Keller is the dictionary definition of steady Eddie. So reliable - a great keeper.

Just a timely reminder/bump here...

Scally has been a bit hot for a few weeks while starting in the Bundesliga and now got a call for the WCQ in November.

Jesus Ferreira got the call, too... 2 years older than Pepi (but that still makes him 20) but almost as productive for FC Dallas and could be up for a transfer at some point.

Others of note:

Kevin Paredes - not a ton of production, but getting some goals and younger than Pepi. More midfielder than winger, but still potentially a dude. He has had some hype but not THE hype.

Busio - He's not cheap. But he's playing regularly in Italy AND may start seeing more time after his last performance for USMNT. The challenge is the midfield is CROWDED.

Canadia specials - Marshall-Rutty and Buchanan - Buchanan definitely has had some recent hype and isn't cheap... but Marshall-Rutty still in that 10-15 range for a base from this. Buchanan going to Brugge this winter and a little older (22). Marshall-Rutty is only 17... and will play the first part of next year at 17. He's more of "imagine what he could be when he's 22 like Buchanan" type.

And then we still have Cowell, Aaronson (who feels under-valued a bit compared to what is happening with some of these other guys), Dike (fell off radars), and Pepi. Plus a whole host of add'l younger guys who haven't blown up.

My favorite part about each WCQ window is this set gets better and better. Wish I got some boxes at release but picked up a complete set this spring before it blew up even more

If you would buy everything as a single and build a base set we are close to $800 at this point. Which is pretty nuts.

What is amazing is that there are still quite a few guys in this set nobody talks about who are still young and quietly having good seasons. Some are international and not likely to break into their national teams or feature prominently given their country (Castellanos, Casseres, Luis Diaz), but there are also a number of Americans between 17-23 who could yet feature prominently for the US even if not in 2022:

Mihailovic, Slonina, Nyeman, Bassett, Omir Fernandez, Leyva, Tolkin, Aidan Morris (although he has been out all year w/ an injury)

Everyone missed it. I didn't... bought a bunch and I still REALLY missed it. I bought it for fun. Not because it was going to be molten hot.

Great write up. This set may good down as one of the best sneaky good rookie content set ever made.
