Not really sure what to think of it... not numbered but probably only 1 of 5 (maybe 4)? Also not a refractor but maybe?
If that’s the Red 70th card, there is only 4 of those made based on pack odds. Litwing23 did a breakdown a while back of the Hamilton #1 population

Yes I did! My father decided to get back into the collecting game a bit and I thought it would be fun to buy a F1 hobby box and break it with him.

These look slick in CSG slabs. Have a bunch of F1 chrome coming back from CSG soon too. And congrats on the Lewis Red yourself, 1 of 4 and a gem mint to boot!

What was your experience with CSG and the quality of their slabs? I was debating submitting some with them since I love CGC for comics, but like the overall look of SGC slabs more.

Quality is great. It’s kind of a hybrid between PSA and BGS. Durability of BGS but the thinner profile of a PSA case.

It’s a miniature CGC case basically. Very nice.

Thanks for this info! I was also playing with the idea of having my F1 cards sent to CSG. Content creators usually bash CSG but I kind of like it. I like how clear the plastic looks combined with the slimmer design of PSA. I do agree that having no sub grades makes the label look a bit blank, though.

You have quite good grades on your cards! Did you find that you had to really pick and choose the best ones from your collection? I ask this because I have been seeing almost all PSA 8s for the parallels on ebay. I have also been buying singles mostly and I haven't seen a card that I think can grade higher than a 9.

Thanks. Yes, from what I’ve observed, the 70th parallels since they aren’t numbered seem to be a bit better edge wise.

Also, it seems like CSG is considering the edge issue either a mix of surface and edge issue. So, the cards are getting lower subs on those but the corners and centering on most are really good.

PSA might be considering the edge issue the main component for a 7 or 8 rather than 1/4 of the overall grade. Also the ones I’ve shown have very minor issues, barely visible.

Love the CSG slabs! I also sent my Lando Orange Wave to CSG (via bulk though). This gives me hope on a better grade now, due to the back edge defect.

Sent these 2 in via Express to CSG. Hoping to get them back next week.

Awesome card! A base orange went for over 220 last night. His stuff is beginning to move a la prospector style.

Super stoked about this one. Just received grades earlier this evening from PSA. Thought it was a Mint 9 but I’ll take an 8 given how difficult PSA has been with F1 cards. Still a POP 1…for now; will get scans up for everyone once it arrives.

My George Russell Auto is in Q2…looking to the sky gods for a Mint 9.

Sharing one of the recent additions to my Leclerc PC. The image variation refractor. I almost thought that Leclerc could have won the British GP today but this card came just in time to celebrate his P2 finish

Cool additions! I, myself, am also trying to put together a set of the Topps Chrome Sapphire Image Variations. I'm missing the two most expensive ones lol.

Nice pickup. Once Ferrari gets Leclerc a car with the pace, he should be a contender.
