Almost certainly. Or has surface damage you can’t see. Those edges and corners are way too clean.

Was thinking the same thing, super clean edges and surface for this card which is very condition sensitive.

Maybe this is just me, but does anybody else thinks that although Kobe’s UD auto cards were mostly better designed, his panini autograph looks better, especially with the full signature. It felt like Kobe in his later years with panini, decides to give back to his fan base by putting more efforts into his auto cards, from full signatures to his reluctance in doing auto stickers.

I disagree, the Kobe 8 auto is still the best imo.

card is not altered or has any surface issues

typical diamond cut but a very clean copy that never made its way to PSA.

Plus its his rarest type of auto, he only signed it that way for 2 seasons.

Yes that platinum is 100% fake.. done a lot of research on the platinums because I bought a couple authentic ones before

Goldin also buried my query about the potential new Kobe TSC rookie silver variation I stumbled upon. However CSG, of all the companies, picked up on its significance, noting that it might "impact the Hobby" if it authenticates out.

Big if, let's send this sucker in from its undisclosed tropical island location.

I have the chance to buy a 2008 TC Kobe PSA 9 with Lebron guarding him for $580. Most have been going for 700+ lately and one sold at $611. Think this is a good buy for the price given that Kobe seems to be down lately? Wondering if it's a good time to enter as I would like one of this card.

I get that people love this photo but for $600 there are just so many other better options to me.

I agree, this hype about the picture is also one of the speculative trends that started during the lockdown, along with base cards hyping.

What was insane was February 2021 when there were 4-5 sales of close to and over $4,000 for this same PSA 9 card. There's 606 9's, and 303 10's at the moment. Pretty low for the base card I guess. I wouldn't call it a horrible price considering just how fast the bubble popped on these prices.

I think we can all agree there's some awesome cards in the Contenders tribute set from last year but #16, the one about his Game 4 against the Pacers in the Finals really irks me. They didn't use a photo from that game. That was a road game in Indiana and they took a picture from one of the games in LA. Bugs me to no end, especially when there's a perfect picture for the moment.

Just disgustingly lazy by Panini.
