does it usually take 6 months to get your redemption cards from Topps?

I just looked at google and it said that it takes about 6 months... That's crazy. I got a Bryce Harper /25 and Elvis Andrus I redeemed recently (new to the hobby again). I understand why, but don't get why they'd do this... topps tier one cards. oh well.

I've probably had about 15-20 redemptions and they all came pretty fast. Most recently a 2020 Bichette purple auto from Chrome that came in like 3-4 days. Maybe I've just gotten lucky with them, but also people tend to post more about the ones that take forever. That's been my experience.

I submitted a Tatis redemption about 1 year ago and have heard nada since then

Topps is very unpredictable when it come to redemption times.

Some of it has to do with actually getting the player to sign, but often it's their hit and miss customer service.

This is why I never deal with redemptions. If I pull one I sell it unredeemed....if I need one, I wait until the card is live and then buy it.

Anything to avoid dealing with Topps....

I had a 2011 Topps Supreme football redemption go unfulfilled for 4 years or so. When I got it, the BV was $60 or so, not ground breaking but still, a good card. I finally worked up an email to them after the player was sent to another team and the thing was still not filled. My options were they fill it with a card they pick, or I keep waiting. I asked if it was possible to fill with a Topps card of a player I collect or of my favorite team, "no." I asked about other Topps products I collect (Garbage Pail Kids for instance). "No." I tried to convey what a loyal Topps customer I am, I may have rage sent photos of every Topps product in my place. Response was, "do you want the replacement or not?" So after 4 years, I received the replacement, a player on a team I don't support. I quickly was able to find a trade partner on Facebook, but still. 4 years.

I waited over 5 years for a 2013 Topps Heritage Groat/Gibson/Musial triple auto and finally gave in for a replacement. Of course it wasn't anywhere near what I thought that auto would cost, I think they offered $125 in value.

I’m still waiting on a 2017 update Bradley Zimmer redemption, requested a substation 6 months ago, emailed again and no response… waiting on a 2018 Archives Buehler Gold /10 auto too.

I got my Topps redemptions in about 2 months surprisingly. Panini, I'm not sure... It's been about 6 months since they said Yordan Alvarez returned the specific card in their redemption update in January. But they still havent sent it out, I dont understand why they wouldn't if they have it

Do they usually give any kind of bonus card or some kind of compensation for waiting so long (other than a substitution)? I thought I remembered someone saying that, so was hoping my measly Garrett Mitchell would last years

New to the hobby. I’m sorry. Redemptions suck. I would have sold. People wait years sometimes and still don’t get the actual card they redeemed. But such is life when dealing with redemptions. You’ll get used to it if you hang around. Good luck.

Damn... thanks for all the info, kinda wish I would've just sold now. Eh, I'm holding out for the Bryce Harper though... If the Elvis one doesn't come I'll ask for a replacement or something. Wonder if they'd give me a ricky henderson instead. lol

Five weeks was the quickest (Dansby Swanson 2017 A&G mini framed auto). And seven months was the longest( Luis Robert 2018 Bowman prospect auto). Those are the extremes but generally it takes around 3 months.

Panini is horrific in this regard.

That’s lucky. Single signed and guys who are currently signing at a good pace. Try getting these multi player ones. They sound awesome when you pull or buy them but they never get made. Redemptions are always a hot button topic here. If I knew I would actually get the card within 6 months or so I would be fine. The problem is cards not getting made and unacceptable replacements.

2013-14 Matt Duchene Dominion Patch Auto /99 LOL

I believe it was the final year they did hockey cards... I forgot all about it.
