It's likely cheaper way to own something he made than a commissioned or original work, so I could see why a fan might find it appealing. No judgement there. Hopefully people are buying these because they like them and not to flip.

That seems a bit low. Why don’t you think many people collect him?

It was an edition of 10. So, it proved he has AT LEAST 10 fans.

Nice job!

I think your post got lost in the Pardee companion discussion.

I hate the Red Sox and I really hate Dusty Two Sacks but I do appreciate the laser show reference.

The old 'Pedroia or Cano?' debates were hotly contested back in the day.

Wish both Pedroia and Cano could've stayed healthy/on the same team for their entire careers. I enjoyed the dynamic of two of the best 2B in the league being a part of the rivalry. Hoping Pedroia eventually gets a card in this project, although I'm guessing you wouldn't be a buyer

I bought the Ermsy Betts and CRAOLA Boggs card and many of the Project 2020 Williams cards, so I am willing to hold my nose and purchase a well-done Red Sox card.

A Pedroia card would have to be extremely well-done, however.

I just bought my first Yankee of Project 70 (Efdot's Mantle), probably the only Yankees I'm buying will be to continue artist sets. Took much longer than I anticipated for a Yankee to make its way into my 4 artist sets.

I do have a few Yankees from Project 2020 as well. I've got both Siff and Efdot's Jeter cards, and Tyson Beck's Mo.

Are we going to get a Dustin Pedroia / Ric Flair card?

Looks like Pedroia is ready for a cage match!

No way. Cano was a cheat, knew it when his best friend was Arod and Melky. Glad the Yankees lost him to Seattle and that ridiculous contract, glad he got busted, and glad he's a joke now. Total phoney just like his best friends arod and melky.

I feel like this card had potential.

Maybe a brighter background or a photo background, to create contrast.

So I had waited to crack the package on the Ermsy Mantle and JK5 Fisk foils I ordered off ebay all week until last night. They're both outstanding cards but I feel like the foil doesn't really add to them. If anything, some of the yellow and orange in the Fisk gets lost with the foil and the card looks just a little worse. I can safely say I like APs better since they preserve the original intent of the artist more. On a related note- I miss the layering effects from the P2020 foils, where some of the card elements were glossy finish on top of the foil.

There are certain cards that I don't think would look good in foil:
- Cards that are very busy and colorful (JK5)
- Cards where the entire point of them is in the color contrasts (Fucci, Morning Breath)
- Cards that are too dark (Jonas Never's Pete Alonso)

In P2020, I thought artists designed (or at least selected) cards with foil in mind. That's probably why JK5 went with foil for his Nolan Ryan card that had a huge splotch of light green electricity. In P70, my impression is that artists aren't doing this. But, some cards still seem tailor-made for foil. Like, all of Naturel's.

I still haven't seen a foil Project card in-person

As a Yankees fan for almost 60 years, I agree 100%. I was so happy when he went to Seattle.
