Think about that last minute for the Bucks..

-Middleton takes long range 2 with 12 seconds on the shot clock. -Terrible
-Connaughtonn takes 3. He was 0-3 from 3 prior to that. -Bad
-Giannis goes to the line and sinks 2 Free Throws -It's good that he made them, but not the shot you want down 3
-0-8 Middleton bricks a 3- Terrible.

Meanwhile, Jrue, who was haven't the game of his life, didn't get a shot off.

Exactly I could live with Jrue not making the shot but he was their most consistent shooter at that point I'm giving him the opportunity not the shooter who was 0-8 at that point

He should make an adjustment to make Middleton take better shots. You expect more then 15 points out of your #2 scoring option.

That's the thing he isn't a legitimate #2, if they lose this series to the Hawks I'm sure Giannis will be second thinking not joining Luka....

I love Giannis but damn son, put your foot down and say 'not in my house mf'ers' at crunch time. Don't let the other guys on the team do the heavy lifting in crucial moments.
Bucks will still win, thank goodness it's a best of series. Bucks are better and need time to prove it, I can't believe I had to type that.

If someone would have said that at the beginning of the season it would have been meh. Phoenix have been the most consistent and atl just keeps grinding out wins. Booker and trae lighting it up, bring it on. I would still like to see giannis get his though.

Dude...

He scored 12 points in the last 5 1/2 mins on 5-5 shooting. Plus he took another shot and got fouled.

He could and should have gotten the ball back up 1... but Middleton took the idiotic shot instead with 12 left on the clock.

What’s the move. Giannis at the five, switches to Young at 3pt line. Trea has zero desire to take this guy off the dribble. So bombs away, knowing Collins and Capela are there to clean the glass because Giannis, the sole rebounder, is 30 ft from the hoop. I love rebounds, I love offensive rebounds. I know Young dropped 50, but man, Collins was huge out there. Him and Capela got 34! rebounds together. Really fun game. Happy the refs let things play a bit.

The Atlanta Hawks, who've made an improbable run to the ECF, also made the largest single-season jump in the standings since the 2008 Boston Celtics (tied with 2020 Lakers).
all while being guarded by Jrue - who was 1st team all-defense like simmons, and of course so is Giannis

What’s scary is holiday and giannis played almost as well as they could, and while Trae was amazing as well, the atl shooters didn’t really get going. If Huerter, Bogy, and gallinari get going this series could end up being short, like people predicted, just with the opposite team winning.

Bucks have no depth, and two of their top three players are inconsistent except they consistently come up short in big moments. Only reason the Bucks are in this position is injuries to the Nets. They didn’t deserve a spot in the ECF.

I still think it will be a long series but a nice start for ATL playing with house money right now.

Huerter and Collins played great, but you're right they were cold from 3. [2-11 combined]... and Bogi is clearly hobbling around about as bad as Harden was. Nate doesn't have much choice though with Reddish+Hunter also out.

Trae and Collins BINs getting hit left and right. Love it! And the “what’s your lowest?” On cards that are red hot… if I could have put money on this scenario happening after their first win I would have.

Pretty interesting to need ‘time’ to prove they’re better. Maybe they’re not. Maybe Atlanta is the better team.

The best of 7 just gives them a chance to win.

Big Collins & Trae fan, I said before the season in a thread I thought they'd make noise in the playoffs. Collins specifically I am VERY HIGH on. There's little he can't do on the court. The Trae / Collins pick and roll is so dominant!
