Black Jack Demon #1 is hard to find. Originally a Kickstarter and released through a small publisher. Still available for cover price at the publisher website.

First issue pretty good. Very curious to see where it goes.

Hit 2 shops fairly early and I found 1 copy of cover A.
I think this was under-ordered.
The 1:25 variant is already selling for 100+
And, might be some extra interest in the Disneyland attraction variant.

Yikes, 8 full days with nothing new posted in this entire sub-forum.
Not a whole lotta comic collectors 'round here.

I'll admit I've not been as active simply due to my day job and other duties working on comics, but I hope to get into the swing of things soon.

Looking forward to that!

I'm also hoping to have some more free time time this summer to get more of my comics scanned and with that, I'll try and contribute some more content, too.

Default NHOTK #1 2nd Printing

Nice House on the Lake #1 first printing has sold out from the distributor, a second printing is releasing on July 13, 2021. It will feature the same cover image although it will be given a distressed old pulp paperback novel look to it.

You can view it here: https://www.tfaw.com/0421dc033-var-n...2-2nd-ptg.html

My local shop has a stack of both the A cover and the variant just collecting dust. Wondering if I should snag a few extra...

I would say yes pick up some of each or buy however many you feel comfortable with, and that the store will allow. If you don't, eventually another customer probably will to either flip now or hold on to them. Issue #2 is not even out, we know first printings have sold out, and in all honestly the series will more than likely go beyond it's initial "first season" of 12 issues. DC and Tynion had both said they were waiting to see how it would sell, I would say so far its a hit.

Stray Dogs is picking up steam, right now.
1st printing cover A selling between 40-50, cover B 20-30.
All the limited movie variants are hot, too.

Swung by and picked up two more A's and one more B. There's still a few left and maybe I shoulda got more, but I go every Wednesday to pick up my books to read so I'll probably grab a couple more in a few days.

The first issue is super interesting. I'm definitely excited to see where it goes both from a reading standpoint and a market standpoint.

Good job, they may still be there Wednesday when you go in too. Also, the 2nd printing order window from when it was announced to the Final Order Cut-off Date was only five days, so that could slip under the radar but I suspect a lot of retailers (and collectors/resellers) jumped on placing orders quickly. Interesting distressed look to it but since the artwork is the same as the first printing (without the distressed look) some may pass on it. Still, it may be worthwhile picking a few up when they come out in mid July.

I think its definitely worth the $3-4 gamble. I've never pre-ordered from TFAW but am snagging a few from your link - when do they charge you, on release date? when it ships? I looked pretty hard last night and couldn't find any info

I use them all the time and they usually charge a few days after you place your order. I tend to pre-order a lot of different books for various release dates so I only have them shop once a month.

Cool- Also Pre-ordered a handful of "Ordinary Gods #1" as well; absolutely no basis there besides the pre-order limit imposed by TFAW ha.

Thanks!

Pretty much what Trask said, they don't charge when you order but closer to when they ship. I also elect to go with the slowest shipping, which is generally FedEx Home Delivery, and only a one day service from where they are located and where I am based. They package up quite securely too.

TFAW has been a source I’ve used for a couple of years now. There are pros and cons, just like most online shops. The biggest issue I have is how long it does take to ship to me here in Indiana…but I’m not preordering to flip so it’s a minor inconvenience. Their packaging has gotten a lot better the last year, for sure.

The last 6 months they have started doing some pretty desirable exclusive variants (selling well on secondary market) so that’s also something to look out for.

I'm loving Stray Dogs. Sorry to see it end this Wednesday, and am afraid to read it. Hopefully it leads into a 2nd volume.
