Luka would still be the PG like RogerGodahell just mentioned but Ben can play point forward at times.
this is the thing - simmons is not good at creating shots either... even after his 3rd playoffs collapse in a row it's not evident? Get him in transition and he's great, but he's a major kink in the offense in the half court.

Watch some of the better analysts talking about him today... he's been exposed repeatedly and it will take some special lineup tinkering for another GM to feel comfortable enough to pay him what he's owed on his contract.

I don't think it'll be Cleve unless they totally overhaul their roster... Okoro, Jallen, and Ben would be the worst spacing in the league for a starting unit...

It can't be Utah either. Won't work with Gobert. O'Neale rarely shoots but when he does he's faily efficient from deep.

It has to be with a non-traditional 5 who wants to spot up from 3 often and can let Ben occupy the post/block.

Dallas makes the most sense... especially if they can sign another shooter on the wing for Luka and if they can get rid of KP so they can slot in Beenjammin as the 4/5.

His biggest roadblock to going to any contending hopeful will be his playoff FT percentage.

It doesn't matter how good he is defensively or distributing, if he shoots <50% from the line in the 4th he's going to be a coaching nightmare.

Draymond works because he's a near 70% career from the stripe, and can drain it from 3 if left wide open. He doesn't need to be taken out in pivotal situations.

Ben, on the other hand, needs the most specialized coaching plan of perhaps any current player on an NBA roster.

Portland for McCollum. Have Simmons play more of a Giannis roll where he sets a lot of screens and gets the ball facing up on the block. He’s 24 and one of the best defensive perimeter players in the league. Someone will get home for 50 cents on the dollar and end up really happy.

As ugly as this postseason was for him, I won't be surprised if Simmons stays in Philly. His contract has negative value, and Philly might decide it's better to try to rehabilitate his shot than to trade him for another overpaid guy.

Then Portland has no shot creators outside of Dame.

It could work if Portland's able to secure a good sg as well. I don't view Norman as an upgrade to CJ.

how many dudes have stayed on the same team after being thrown under the bus by both the best player on the team and the coach... and after a game 7 meltdown and benching and loss to a big underdog, then had his jersey burned by fans outside the arena after the game?

I'll take any avatar bets that he's gone

Rookie of the year this year is my bet. #fraud. Called it way back then and got grilled for it, who’s laughing now. Guy is cocky and worthless.

Dude isn’t worth 3/4 of his contract. I watched him at LSU and never understood all the hype. Literally passed up a dunk with only Trae Young within distance. That’s mental and you can’t change that. He is a mental midget and not many get that fixed. Philly where broke ass shooters get drafted and disappear.
Markelle Fultz anyone…
Trust the process…

now this would be a real interesting landing spot...

maybe a sign&trade for DD?

Curry-DD-Green-Harris-Embiid might be pretty good, DD's passing has evolved+improved since he joined Pop.

and yeah Ben's shot is busted, but if there's anyone who'd have a shot at fixing it, it's Engelland. They also have so much money coming off the books, they could sign a few more complementary pieces to fit around Ben + their current young core.

Pop doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who likes divas.

Jeez, I was under the impression his shot was just off somewhat, this is stuff that should've been fixed in junior high school

I could see a potential fit with the Raptors if Lowry leaves town (as expected), especially after they missed the playoffs.

They'll be completely void of a facilitator, and their current lack of a concrete center could allow him a lot of flexibility on the roster.

All three Klutch clients so my money is on the Lakers and hopefully Lebron can fix him.

The next spot that makes sense is joining Klutch client Lonzo in NO. Simmons played for LSU so it would make some sense but I feel like he wants to play in LA because he’s all about that lifestyle

I'm honestly baffled at the overreactions here. People won't trade him for CJ McCollum or Andrew Wiggins (!!!). WTF.

The Cleveland thing is something that could work depending on what happens tomorrow in the lottery.

It's not looking promising for the Cavs right now. The roster is a mess. But say they get pick 2 in the lottery and could move Sexton for Simmons, the lineup of:

Garland
Simmons
Jalen Green
Okoro
Allen...

At least is intriguing and loaded with potential. It's not the perfect team, but this was a team who started Dean Wade for 19 games this year.

Got 4 more years remaining on that contract at an average of 35 mill per.

That's finna be a costly buyout.

Hey at least my guys goes down shooting and fighting. Like a fart in the wind for Simmons, and we will see how the rest shapes up for him. You can’t be elite in the NBA and totally afraid to shoot. The jazz lived the same nightmare with gobert this post season, it sucks.

Obviously want the jazz to do well and it didn’t happen this year…. That said a close second for me is Philly failure, I love it. Simmons is so damn cocky too and that makes this even better.

At least we agree on 1 thing...

Top 2 failures this post season were the two 1 seeds!
