wow. so the #1 seeds by standing (PHI, UTA) are both gone, and the defacto #1 seeds by expectation (BKN, LAL) are gone as well. This parity thing is pretty exciting!

also, I wasn't supposed to have a dog in this fight but with how obnoxious some BO Philly fans are, and the obviously terrible actual fans, I'm sorta happy they're all in agony right now

Biggest mistake Philly made was not trading Simmons for Harden. Nobody is taking on his contract now. I mean, someone might, but they ain’t getting a Harden-caliber player in return anymore.

You’ll make any excuse for somebody you’ve got money in. Game 7 and guy took as many shots as the fouls he had. Passes up dunks because he’s afraid of getting fouled. Biggest beta in the league.

The thing about Ben Simmons is that you could see the progress in his game. It was slow, and then it got slower... and then he actually started to regress after the All-Star break. It's not like this is the first time he's been in the playoffs either. As a rookie he made 41/58 of his free throws in the playoffs. That's a hair over 70%. I'm not going to bother looking up his % for this playoffs, but I'm fairly sure it's in the mid 30s. The dude is in his own head in a way I'm not sure I've ever seen for an NBA player.

I'll let him wear 2 of the other losses. No exuse.

But Trae shot 5-23. Ben has 13 assist plus 2 missed layups by Tobias that could have given him 15..

He pissed his pants this series, but this game isn't the most egregious of the series.

Trae and Luka have both shown that they like the spotlight of the playoffs. They're both gonna be superstars for the next decade. Luka got bounced by a championship favorite each year, nothing to be mad about there.

Apparently they tried. Along with multiple 1st round picks and another player. (Fact check me on the details of the trade) Houston didn't want to do it.

Offense: 76ers are 3rd in FTs, 9th in FG%, 10th in 3pt%, 14th in TS,

No Embiid, a totally diff story. 76ers should probably play 4-out with Simmons and Howard rotating inside [and Scott/Paul] with shooters like Tobias, Danny, Seth, Korkmaz, Hill, Shake, and some dribble penetration from Maxey and of course Matisse is a terror on D and hit 2 3s last night. 50-50 series there but I'd have to see what Vegas opens lines at before I made a bet either side.
