The All Star game political bullsh*t. I can't get out of my season tix this year, but I am sure as hell not giving them another penny and will not be renewing.

DC traffic, parking, and crime. The area has been quite gentrified recently but within 5 minutes it's like you are in a 3rd world country

Does every baseball team insist on putting the stadium in the hood? Or does the area turn into trash after the stadium is built?

No Nashville team. If we had an MLB team, I would have incredible season tickets!

I live within walking distance of Coors Field and go to a lot of games. The Rockies are my adopted team, so the buffoons in ownership and management don’t irk me as much as they would a lifelong fan. Much cheaper tickets than when I would hop on the L and head to Wrigley. It was a bit cost-prohibitive at times during my time in Chicago. That was about the only item that made me hesitate before buying. Never felt unsafe going to a ballgame in either of the major metros I’ve lived in, so I feel for those of you have to deal with that.

$30+ for a crappy outfield seat in one of the country's worst stadiums; not happening. I live within walking distance and have been to one game in the past 3+ years.

I live in San Francisco. Downtown is kind of a mess, it's expensive to park near the stadium, and traffic is a mess before and after games. I sit at home and watch from a recliner on a big TV and question why I'd ever bother to go at all.
I lived within walking distance of the park in Houston, and that was a different story - I wandered down the street to go all the time. Easy access is a big deal.

It was GREAT during the 12% capacity times... could hit the bathroom and get a beer in between innings. Now it's back to missing at least a full inning to do that... if you are lucky.

I live in Iowa, so not near a MLB stadium, but I took it as if I lived in my favorite teams city. I voted for way too expensive. I have 3 kids, with them and my wife it'll EASILY be $100 minimum just to get in when you include parking and what not. And that's sitting in the cheapest seats. I can kick back in the air conditioning, watch in HD, toss back a couple cold ones without paying $10+ each, let the kids do whatever they want, etc. Don't get me wrong, I love the atmosphere of the ballpark, but the cost of everything + easiness and comfort of watching at home wins most the time.

Expense is the #1 reason. Oh the cards you can buy for the cost of going to a game! Obviously some stadiums are in safer areas.... location location location.

One of the things I liked about going to the games was getting cards signed by guys who aren’t notable enough to get a auto card. The stupid trend of Nets foul pole to foul pole ruined that

This is the winner for me right here. I typically hit about 5-8 D'backs games a year. This year we've been to one (to see deGrom!). Ohtani was on the hill the other day and cheapest ticket was $40...for a team that is now 2-29 in its last 31.
I also attend a ton of minor league games (4-6 AZL, 4-6 AFL) plus we typically take a trip to a major or minor league game every year, so it's not like I'm not attending a lot of baseball games.

I'm 3 hours minimum drive from any MLB ballpark. If I was closer to one I'd go more often.

Baseball is great background noise while getting other things done… like sports coverage on tv much better than live… hassle of planning for the time to go and then all the extra wasted time around the game… $$$ for yuck food… managing kids at the stadium
Man… pretty much all signs point to televised games being the obvious go-to ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Oakland is a dump.
Traffic around AT&T is a nightmare - about 90 minutes from me. $60+ to park. ALWAYS go to Fenway when I’m home, but now my home town has the AAA team and a brand new park to check out! |

$40 seems reasonable to see an MLB game. Hopefully it's half that for kids. |
