Did anyone else watch the ending of the game Wednesday night? I think they cut to “Sad Vlad” in the dugout at least 200 times in the ninth inning after he got thrown out at third.

Ya...the thing is, he wasn't thrown out.

I accept! That was a good sale for both you and the seller. He wanted to move it and I knew a good buyer

I wonder how those three would have done had they been TRUE GEM 9.5s…?

Agree looked to me he got back to the bag on time. But the call on the field was OUT!

These 3 were all mine, with some other OK vlads there as well (update black gem, NT knob etc)

The red doesn’t sell for a whole lot more than black, green and base, and those have mostly been selling in the $300’s.

There was a green PSA 9 that went for $456 the other day. It’s possible that a condition-sensitive acetate card sells for a premium in a PSA 9 case. Or maybe that gives some hope that your red could sell for something closer to $500.

Really, I think I would just rather hold it. It’s a nice looking card Numbered and Autographed. Plus as a Jays fan it’s a PC thing.
Curious cause I paid $300 before the season kicked off.

It’s definitely not a bad card to keep. The flagship design alone will go a long way.

I picked up the /99 green version on COMC for $280US a few days ago. Having it shipped to me, so knowing the delays at COMC, it could be months before I get it.

Here is one of the reasons I bought it (other than I really like it)...Us Canadians, who are fed Upper Deck Young Guns Acetate/Clear Cut and Ice Premieres for highly collectible Hockey RC's know that Acetate/Clear Cut cards are some of the best cards of a player to collect. The baseball market may not be too keen on this type of card.
If I was looking at selling a Vlad card, this may be one of the first to go because I know I can easily make a handsome profit (3x) selling it to a collector in Canada as we value a card like this.....a low-numbered, on-card auto on acetate stock.

Acetate is just the condition sensitivity issue in baseball, which is much more about slabs than hockey (outside of half a dozen or so players.) I would personally put a big premium on an a PSA 9 acetate - I have enough acetate Miro Heiskanen cards to know that they don’t get 10s.

I was thinking along those lines, it’s nice to know somebody else has the same feeling. I find the card market in Canada has a little bit higher pricing because the supply is much more limited that the United States.
Maybe I’m wrong but seems like simple economics supply vs. demand.

Here’s how ridiculous the acetates grade out…the centering corners and edges will always be high grade. Surface MOST of the time, isn’t.

No. This one, I believe, is still listed. I bought it over a year ago, without it being disclosed that Wolverine had taken his frustrations out on it. So I returned it, very disappointed.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t prepared to make a serious play for that one from South Korea.

It gets quiet when he isn’t hitting homeruns every day… that being said, I made a trade earlier this week with an outstanding member played4nothing where I am getting my first 2019 Update gold (BGS 9.5 True Gem plus), a raw update gold and a PSA 9 Walgreens yellow. I’m very excited to add these to my collection. I’m hoping to add a few more items I don’t have by trading some of my multiples. It’s tough to find people wanting to trade these days. I’m sure it would be easier in person, but there is now where around where I live to do so. I’m looking forward to adding some pictures whenever they get added from my mailbox to my COMC account. Any other pickups lately from anyone??
