Oh for sure. I agree. Just saying other sapphire, which is watered down and overpriced in baseball there’s only finest flashbacks and who knows if that will ever catch fire like that again. The sets wouldn’t be anywhere near enough to be enticing over smaller print run stuff like uefa and f1

It’s going to be soooo disappointing if we get shut out on online exclusive bundi and uefa sapphire and that was replaced with f’ing Trevor Lawrence presale.

I’ve never flipped any sealed mc offering. I’ve flipped the mini sets but have opened all the boxes I’ve bought. If they can’t get their website to handle traffic and kill bots it’s nice to get offerings here

When you think about it there is no reason these shouldn't have been an MC offering. If the general public was actually able to order and each person was only getting 2 boxes sure. But where do they think 99% of boxes of Bundesliga Sapphire went to on a surprise drop? The bots and discord members. Where will 99% of orders go to if UEFA Sapphire isn't an MC release? 99% to the bots and discord members. On top of that not like these bots are only getting 2 boxes each. They are getting endless amounts of boxes. So why not sell it 2 per to your MC members? Makes no sense.

I don't understand the folks who are saying that MC won't be worth it next year without these non-baseball releases. No one who joined this year expected any UEFA, GPK, etc., so what's the difference?

Some members are baseball collectors and lovers of the hobby. Many others just expect msrp pricing on other sport specialty boxes that they never cared about and then bitch about it.

I don’t think that’s what’s the club was meant for. Topps should open a special soccer or non baseball club for that

We didn't have GPK or UEFA last year, we had 3 good presales last year before Topps jacked up the prices on the last 4 presale releases starting with $300 per topps sapphire box. So a lot of people were expecting this year to be trash, I only renewed because I like the sets. Will renew next year as well because I like getting the stamped factory set.

Oh nvm. Those released after we already re-upped. My bad. My initial point had zero to do with that tho. I’m actually more interested to see who buys boxes off boters and if a mediocre release not offered to MC members goes crazy like some other products have. Truth is interest will be much lower. Will be an interesting experiment.

Can anyone comment on how the first year of the GPK Club is going? Has Topps thrown some extras outside of what was initially promised which as I recall was a few small sticker sets or something like that??

It's been disappointing. I think we've gotten two shipments so far. Very much in line with what Topps advertised, but given my experience in MC, I had my sites set very high. So not Topps' fault.

I definitely had a membership in my cart, but for the price it seemed expensive for what Topps was guaranteeing. I hope that a GPK collector ended up getting the spot that I nearly bought (which would have been just to flip everything). Most said there would be extras, but I find it ironic that they already released the best possible GPK offering (Series 1 Sapphire) before the club was created. Being only halfway through the year Topps could still throw some awesome extras at GPK members.

Honestly though, I bet a lot of the issues with the clubs this year are due to the holdups in printing.

Not that it shouldn't be frustrating, but everyone is dealing with an usual last 18 months.

What happens first??? 2021 MLB Top 100 packs ship, or 2022 MLB Top 100 packs put up for sale? Not sure why they can't just print and ship and include redemptions if needed ( don't recall if if had an auto chase or not). Seems irresponsible to continue to print and sell other on-demand offerings and not fulfill these MLB 100 orders. Cardboard Connection lists the print run as 11,333 packs in fact.
