Get into the workout gym and get your body ready for the Tatis documentary. You can do it you just need to push yourself hahdah than you've pushed before. Be a champion for the documentary. Fernando wants to see you pumped up! Get to the gym, NOW!

Tatis does so much that a week without something eventful feels like forever.
I imagine twitter would have a field day of hype and hate if he took DeGrom yard. |

Tatis Jr is very flexible, I was the same way in my 20's and still am, so Tatis Jr should not have pulled hamstring, calf issues and should be able to play ball @ a high level until his early 40's relatively injury free. So he should be a long term HODL and the Doc coming this early WOW...

Finally got a chance to see him play tonight. Not the greatest of games, but still fun to see him live.

Man is anyone watching Tatis? I feel like this thread is always slow to react to his bombs. Anyway, that was another...upper decker.

Agreed. We will never see another athlete so something like that again. I remember watching the Astros game when Almora hit that ball and the child was hurt. His remorse was heartbreaking, you could feel his pain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

However, if he can’t shore up his defense, it may make an impact especially if he changes position some time later in his career. But based on a career of over 400hr and 300 sb, he will likely make it in barring any major controversies or health issues that could plague his career. The same could be said about acuna as well. I think many newbies underestimate how difficult it is to maintain such a high level of play over 15 years. I believe most mlb players would dream of having a career like Juan gone, offensively. At least without any roid allegations. |

Juan might get some serious HOF consideration, but not for the juice. A product of his era.

Does anyone value a SB anymore though? I mean I personally think the stats guys have dramatically undervalued its effect on most pitchers effectiveness. I think if you studied it the moneyballers would realize having 5-6 guys who get on base and steal bases and 3 who hit HRs in a lineup is way more effective against guys like Bieber and DeGrom. I mean how annoying is it to have to keep a runner close. ... sorry discussion for another thread. Juan won 2 mvps and played 16 years. He always could hit. He was one of my favorite steroid guys. He and Manny. Both were hitters who juiced. Not guys who juiced to become hitters... both would be in My HOF. To your point though, I think u are right. He’s on his way towards HOF numbers but doing so at the same level for 10 plus years is sooooo hard. Just ask Matt Kemp. Many "acuna, tatis, vladdy, and sotos" have come and gone through the years, and although this batch is promising, yes, it's very very difficult to sustain those numbers for even a decade. Just ask Eric Davis and Darryl Strawberry, Manny Machado and Carlos Correa, Alfonso Soriano and even our favorite roider, Jose Canseco. |
