But you didn't put $10,000 into Tatis right? Your actual exposure is much less. That's just what that card has gone for before, so that's your potential net if you sell now or opportunity cost on that card if you don't sell now and it craters.

I'm only exposed $425 (card) + $75 (grading) on mine. It most recently sold for $6,300 as a PSA 10. Sure, that'd be nice right now... but honestly, I'm not strapped for cash and ultimately I'm willing to take the risk and let it ride. I'm only $500 in, although with my other Tatis cards I bought all before last season I'm maybe $1-1.5K in total, obviously opportunity cost is much higher, but it is what it is.
