Fear not. When they eventually lose all their money buying into whatever hyped prospect/unproven rookie, they'll slink away from the hobby and go to crypto, NFT, or whatever the new "investment" trend of the day is.

I got a large PSA order back yesterday full of Kobe Rc. Put them up FS yesterday on Ebay and myslabs. They are getting bought up pretty quickly with current comp buy it nows, a few were sold slightly higher than last comp. So that's probably a sign that maybe we're close to the bottom of the dip and settling.

What kind of cards? def seems like a tough time to be playing the auction game as a seller.

Don't do auctions unless you don't care what it goes for and just want to get rid of the card. Auctions are better when its a rising market.

If it was for not consignment places there would be literally no auctions on Ebay from basketball. Maybe a few in Asia.

There’s way too many things being listed right now, so plenty of auctions are falling through the cracks or people just letting them fall and see where the bottom is

Yeah there’s still interest out there, just depends what it is and if you comp it right. I listed 40ish things this morning, 3 already got BINs hit and received 7 offers. Can still make money in this market, just going to take a lot more work

I stopped by my LCS last night and was chatting with the owner about the market. He has a huge eBay store, with over 47K feedback at a perfect 100% rating, and about 2,000 cards currently listed. He said sales have slowed TREMENDOUSLY in the last month or so and it has not picked up at all. He said he gets maybe a few lowball offers each day and isn’t selling much. He doesn’t do auctions, just BIN with best offer.

I think that’s pretty indicative of the overall market. The only cards that are selling are low pop rare stuff from either big name guys or sought-after sets. All the low to mid-end base is not moving at all, and if they are they are selling super cheap. I am still buying, but my purchases are 99% mid 90’s to mid 2000’s PC stuff. I haven’t bought a modern card in a while. The stuff I’m buying for my PC is still selling as well as it always has. I’m not finding a ton of steals for the things I’m looking for to fill my PC.

When the hell is wax going to follow singles? I’m following UFC Prizm and singles are going for lower and lower yet wax prices are still $1,200 a box. Are stores just being that stubborn or are people still buying wax at these prices as an investment?

My Ebay sales have definitely slowed. Was averaging about 3-5 days a day even as recently as last month. I sell all sports.

Now I'm lucky to get a sale every other day. People aren't even making offers.

I don't even dare bother with no reserves. Straight BIN/BO with no chaser.

Feels batman.

Not to fear. What goes around comes right back around.

All these new age melanin Kevin Maas kards will one day be used to tell cautionary tales to our grandchildren with lessons far more valuable than the paper they're printed on.

Everyone needs to hold there Mosaic. One day this stuff will be vintage. Grade every card you can, even the commons at PSA for $300. It is time to go big right now. Pop 1 folks!

I’ve got faith in our government to continue with their nonsense. Should keep everything but dollars afloat

Gotta appreciate NC keeping us on point and rallying the market.

Cards up 500% drop down 250% and are still up big.

NeedChap's Yokich clection is impressive, but I don't think it's enough to keep a roof over our heads.

People were buying thinking cards will go up now everyone thinks the opposite so no one buying just waiting.

Reverse of FOMO.

Well I think most people would be smart enough to be happy with that $100 item being a $1000 now.

Sold a Brady yesterday but that was my first sale in almost 2 weeks! Literally nothing is moving. The offers I do get are ridiculous low balls.
