The back of the card suggests it was an official autograph from the card manufacturer, not an aftermarket signature. In trying to find information about the card, I've come across similar cards for Webber, Hardaway and Mashburn, which are all hand numbered. This one has no numbering. Like I said above, I've never seen this card before; the only Rodney Rogers autographed card from Classic was part of the Four-Sport set. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have a Kukoc auto that is VERY similar except it has a national sports card convention on the back by the classic logo. My guess is that it was made for a show he was signing at. Let me know if you have additional questions.

Thanks for the info. I've seen some of the Webber/Hardaway/Mashburn cards out there with various convention logos on the back. I recently sent a scan of the Rogers card to Beckett to see if they might have some info on it. At the very least, they can add it to their checklist. Happy collecting!

Default New Card!

It's always fun to add a new card to your collection that you never knew existed. For the second time in the past year, I was lucky enough to stumble across such a card. I've always used Beckett.com as my go-to place for player checklists. On their Rogers list is a 2001-02 Suns Topps card that I always assumed I had (given the stats on the back of the card were for the 2000-01 season). On a whim, I was looking at the checklist for the entire set and noticed it didn't match the set where I pulled the Rogers from. They happen to have a card scan of a different player and when I looked closer, I noticed the stats on the back of the card were for the 1999-00 season. There happened to be a couple cards from the set available on the Beckett Marketplace, including the Rogers card, so I thought I'd take a chance and see what would arrive. Well, much to my surprise, a brand new card showed up at my door today. I am thrilled to add it to my collection. Here are the scans (if you happen to know anything about this set, please let me know):

Also coming in the mail this week is a 1994-95 Nuggets Team Sheet that I had long given up on since it was a promotional item and I've never been able to find anything about it in my 20+ years of collecting. More on that once it arrives...

AWESOME pick up! I am still hunting for a few Bulls team sheets myself.

Default Hoops Sheet

So here is the 1994-95 Hoops Denver Nuggets / Blimpie / 9 News / KYBG Sportstalk Sheet I just got in the mail yesterday.

I had all but given up hope I'd ever get this sheet. It's been on my wantlist for the past 20+ years and I had never seen one until last week.

It's been a really good couple of weeks for my collection. On top of this Nuggets sheet and the 99-00 Suns Topps card I got earlier, I've got another Nuggets sheet (1993-94 NBA Jam) and a new 2017 Panini Collegiate Wake Forest Team Collection card coming tomorrow (I'll post more then). Three of those items I didn't even know existed until I found them for sale. Really makes you wonder what else could be out there...

Thanks for checking it out and all the encouraging comments. I really appreciate it.

Default Another One...

Hello collecting world. Just wanted to share the latest addition to the collection.

It's a 1993-94 Jam Session Promotional Nuggets Team Sheet. This is another one I didn't know existed until I saw it on eBay and I was thrilled get it.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to best store promotional sheets like this, it would be appreciated. They're a bit oversized so they won't fit into a 8.5x11 protective page like some of the other sheets I have. Thanks in advance and happy collecting.

Default Last Card of the Week

I recently discovered that there was a new 2017 Panini Wake Forest Team Set available through their website, so I bought the 18-card set (and paid their insane shipping cost) just to get the Rodney Rogers card. Here it is:

If you're a Wake Forest fan or just a collector of the other players in the set and want one of the cards (Chris Paul (2), Muggsy Bogues, Ish Smith (2), Al-Farouq Aminu, James Johnson, Jeff Teague (2) or John Collins), let me know and I'll send it off to you. Happy collecting!

Who’d you get the hoops sheet from? I’m following a guy on eBay who was listing some of these from Maryland... was that the source? I’m really interested on who is on the clippers sheet.

Love the recent flurry of pick ups man!

The Hoops Sheet was from a guy in the Denver area. He only had a couple Nuggets items, so I think he was just a hometown collector/seller.

The Jam Session sheet was from a guy in Georgia. He has a 1993-94 Jam Session Clippers Sheet with Harper on it for $15, if you're interested. Here's the link:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-1993-1...F4viHBKGFLBdHg

I saw a couple other early 90's Hoops Clippers sheets that had Harper on them. I had done a search for Clippers Sheet to see if there were any late 90's sheets that might have Rogers on them. Here they are:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1990-91-LA-...gAAOSwz71ZTDXJ

https://www.ebay.com/itm/NBA-Hoops-1...8AAOSwIspaUgVp

Thanks for checking out my thread and best of luck in your search.

Thanks, but I’ve got all these sheets. I just have never seen a 94-95 hoops sheet to know if he’s on it or not. The guy on eBay listed a bunch (actually from Massachusetts) and said he had a clippers one but then no more messages...

Thanks for the links tho I do appreciate it

I've been in a bit of dry spell lately with no new finds over the past four months or so. I did recently discover Photobucket as a way to search for cards, except there's no way to contact the owners of the images. Nothing too amazing on there except a couple of the 2005-06 SP Authentic Game Used Authentic Fabrics Patches #RR (#'d to 75). I've tried to get as many as I could over the years (I think I currently have 12) just because each patch is different. I've had no luck tracking down the owners. So if anyone can help me track down any of these cards/users (they are Chris_154 or Vincentwang17), I'd appreciate it.

Default Latest Pickup...

I haven't been very active lately. Not a lot of recent additions to my collection. I did manage to pick up a PSA 10 Gem Mint 1993-94 Finest Refractor (RC) card a couple months ago.

There was a PSA 10 Gem Mint 1997-98 Ultra Platinum Medallion recently on eBay that I also bid on, but got outbid at the last second. I hope it went to a good home. (I recently discovered the card in the collection of @natsturner...so, yeah, it went to a good home)

On a somewhat related note, I'm looking for advice on ways to expand my collection during the long lulls between new items coming available. Up until now, I have mainly focused on items that were exclusively Rodney Rogers, i.e. cards, autographs, jerseys, game-worn items, magazines, figurines, etc. I've thought about venturing into some more team-related memorabilia, i.e. team signed basketballs, team posters, etc. I've also thought about getting some additional items in my collection graded. I've already graded any of the 1/1's in my collection, printing plates aside, and have picked up a few highly graded iconic cards through the years. What are your thoughts, especially from fellow player-collectors who are in a similar boat? I'd love to hear what you have to say.

Default Long wait...

It's been a long wait, twenty years in the making (and painstakingly extended for the next couple weeks while I wait for the card to arrive from Osaka, Japan). But I'm super excited to be adding a 1998-99 UD Choice Premium Choice Reserve to my collection.

That leaves me with just three mainstream (not 1 of 1 or oddball/promo/international) Rodney Rogers cards left to add to my collection. Today is a good day. I'll keep you updated on when the card actually arrives. Thanks for checking out my thread.

Default Shameless Plug...

Greetings Collecting Universe!

I spent a little time this afternoon taking some pics of all of my miscellaneous game-worn Rodney Rogers memorabilia. Among them are the shorts from his junior season at Wake Forest and his 2003 New Jersey Nets Shooting Shirt from the NBA Finals. Please stop by my website and take a look. While you're there, check out my extensive Rodney Rogers card collection and numerous game-worn jerseys. And please feel free to leave me a comment/question/critique/meandering thought/dirty limerick/etc. in the comment section. Or leave me a post here. I'd love to hear from you.

Here's the address:

Thanks for checking things out and happy collecting!

Default Another one...

Hey folks. Yet another oddball card I never knew existed. This one came all the way from Serbia. Apparently it's from a 28-card set featuring all the Sixth Man of the Year Award winners. It appears to be a Chinese card made by Titan Sport. If you have any additional information about this set, please let me know. Otherwise, enjoy...

Default New Website

Just wanted to let the collecting world know that I've started a new website for my collection. My old one through Webs.com kept crashing because they only allow a certain number of pages for free, so my entire card collection had to be on a single page. After looking around, I started a new page at Wix.com. So far I've been very pleasantly surprised with their ability to both make it very easy to use and extremely customizable. I err toward the simplistic side, but it's always fun to mess around with something like this. Please check it out and I'd love to hear your feedback on layout, color, style, etc. It is still a work in progress...I've finally got all my cards on the site, but I still have all my memorabilia to post. You can find the link in my signature or:

https://meeker99.wixsite.com/rodneyrogersfan

Thanks for your time and happy collecting!

Default Shadow Cards

So, I've recently decided to expand my collection into the wonderful world of shadow cards. I have a handful from looking through my own collection years ago. But this time, I decided to review every card in every set. It's been a mind-numbing effort, but one that's reaped plenty of rewards. Rogers was drafted in 1993 and retired after the 2004-05 season. I'm currently in the middle of the 1999-00 season, so about halfway there, and I've already amassed a list of 186 cards, which I feel is pretty impressive. A little disclaimer, I've only looked at mainstream sets and only base and parallel cards. No oddball, no inserts. I'll go back and review those once I'm done with my current effort. I must say, the list so far seems pretty achievable, except for a couple cards. I think the most out of reach for me, at this point is (and obviously the Gem Masters 1/1):

Wish me luck and I'll try to post some pics as I find cards. Happy collecting!

That is AWESOME! I have been doing it too. Doesn't help that Kukoc is a shadow on some nice Jordan cards LOL. Good luck with your search. If there are any Kukoc let me know.

Recently got this team sheet for my collection. Still looking for the 1996-97 Hoops Clippers Sheet. I've seen some individually autographed cards from that sheet on eBay recently, so I figure it has to be in existence somewhere...right?

Love that you've been collecting and tracking this amazing Rodney Rodgers collection for so many years.. it's truly inspiring tbh. I'll keep an eye out for some of the 1/1's if I ever come across I'll let ya know. Really admired your flair row 1, 1/1 masterpiece. Congrats on that card and all of your other 1/1 90's cards.

I currently have 410/549 (74.68%) Damon Stoudamire cards (in raptors uniform). the 1/1's have been almost impossible to locate. I've actually only seen a handful.

Thanks again for sharing your collecting journey and best of luck to you the rest of the way.

Thanks for commenting. It's always nice to get feedback.

The Flair Masterpiece was one of my more recent 1/1 pickups, probably in the last 6-7 years, luckily before the current boom in collecting. Probably wouldn't be able to afford that card today.

I would love to see your Stoudamire collection. Living in Tucson, he's a bit of a legend around here. I always loved him as a kid. He was a beast on the court, especially for his size, and I always loved the nickname...Mighty Mouse! Best of luck searching out those hard to find gems.

Great addition! I am still hunting for some of those SGA sheets myself.

Yeah, sometimes you're not even sure a SGA sheet exists until you see it. This one I happen to stumble across as part of a 8 or 9 sheet set. The seller was kind enough to sell me the one I needed rather than make me buy the whole lot. Best of luck finding those Bulls ones!
