Tatis/Acuna/Vladdy prices are all down significantly from their recent peaks. That has little (probably nothing) to do with their performance this year. They're all mashing. There are broader market factors bringing prices down. Besides, of late, most of the price appreciation for young stars comes during the 2nd half of the BB hobby offseason.

I just sold my Patrick Mahomes Prizm PSA 10 for $10K and bought 2016 Tatis Bowman Chrome Auto PSA 10 for $5250. If I could buy another one for $5250, I would. I think 2x Tatis BC AUto RC PSA 10 for 1 Mahomes Prizm PSA 10 is a no brainer. I love Mahomes, but there are only 178x Tatis PSA 10s while there are 866 Mahomes Prizm PSA 10. Thre could be other decent Mahomes RCs to be had like Contenders, Conetenders Optic, Donruss Optic, National Treasures etc. For Tatis however, Bowman Chrome is the KING when it comes to the rookie cards. I really think we are in VERY early stage of popularity ascension of Tatis. He will be the face of the MLB. He is also playing for the playoff contender. A lot of things are lining up for him. He just needs to stay healthy

Previously having the best start of a season he has had, while the other slumped. Then the takeover started, and he isn’t giving the spot back to him. That’s crazy talk though, right?

Good question. I own both in this format so I've wondered about this as well. From what I've seen with some other players, the orange sapphire has been~3x the base sapphire 10, but that still feels low to me with high end value increasing. At the end of the day, I think both sapphire/chrome have things going for them and are pretty similar in value. I would not even consider selling either for less than 20 - too much room to grow.

Past sales have spoken and they say there’s not much difference between an orange TC and a Sapphire orange TC when it comes to Tatis. I’ve bought and sold both more than once. They are close in value. If you’re lucky the sapphire should be 1.25-1.5 X vs the regular chrome sale. Some instances where the sale is about identical. I’ve owned 2 sapphire Oranges and 4 TC Oranges. They seem to get about the same when all is equal and the sales are close to each either time stamp wise.

I was pretty surprised these continued to fall so much. Down 50% from the peak.

Strange to me that orange sapphire is the 4th out of 5th lowest numbered parallel (purple, red, super). Both awesome. Might prefer look of sapphire, but regular as a traditionalist. Also seems more difficult to pull regular orange.

Oh amazing! I need to get my hands on one of the Orange Sapphire PSA 10s
and I agree the Orange Sapphire should be more than 3x the Base

purple /250
8x Sapphire Base
