Nice card but I'm not a fan of horizontals. Plus technically he's not shown actually pitching on that card he's just standing there holding a glove. Would look a 100x better if he were in a pitching motion.

He saw a huge surge in RD prices that no other player was seeing and the same surge was happening in stuff that baseball collectors traditionally hated(Waves, Green Refractors). If you looked at the posting history of people posting their big RD parallel and Wave buys, it almost a guarantee that they had all Basketball/Football forum posting history prior to the season.

Basketball/Football collectors don't know that RDs are traditionally hated and in their world they love Chrome and shiny rainbow colors. There's no equivalent of popular non-Chrome in the modern era in those sports.

I understand the timeline, I was very active here when the whole RD thing happened. I don't think it had anything to do with basketball/football money. But something tells me you're locked into your theory so I think I'll just let you have it.

Make a mental note every time you see someone in this thread posting about the RDs they're buying for $15-20 a pop. Or a Chrome Update RD PSA 10 for $200 . If you do see a post about those at all, check the post history

My god the 3 HR streak card in PSA 10 is $80 lolol. And the RD PSA 10 is more than the US1 PSA 10! Unbelievable. I know these are because of the super low PSA 10 pops, but there's no chance anyone buying either of those is mainly a baseball collector

Do you feel all of these players are under valued at current prices? I assume you amassed most of these players pre covid at very low prices. If you started collecting after covid or even starting this year would you be happy to pay current prices on all of these players?

He has not really been sharp in any start. I would go with lower velo for better command (although it didn't help tonight).

His cutter is tracking at 83 mph tonight. Four seamer at 88, though I did see one at 92. That seem like control issue? Lots of high pitches too. Now the Indians can’t hit a change up so, strategy?!

Just hope he’s alright.

He's guiding the ball, IMHO.

In previous starts he was trying to throw 110 every pitch and the ball was going everywhere....this looks like too much effort to throw strikes. He's thinking too much - maybe it's his arm, maybe it's strikes, maybe it's trying to be too good. Dunno.

Wouldn't be concerned about the low velo. Hard to have consistent energy level with such irregular days of rest. If there were something wrong, he would have been pulled by now. No one gets the attention Ohtani does in terms of mechanics.
