I have not been tracking lately but has there been any movement in quarterly special or modern bulk?

Movement? Hardly.

I used to do this daily but grew tired of it after a while, so it's missing a couple weeks of data points. Not hard to spot the trend though.....

Looks like they are 100% focusing on economy and CC vouchers. They are pushing November on those right now. Think everything else below that level is not even being touched right now besides bulk submissions from PSA dealers.

My CC vouchers from Oct 5 have been stuck in QA 2 for 3 weeks..

The value submissions are a #@#@#@#@ show and have made no progress since the shutdown.

I was in QA2 for less than a day. I think people that are in QA2 for a long time may have had a card/cards that had issues with slabs or mislabeled. These will need to go back to slabbing and take longer.

It is obvious that they are tackling economy right now and bulk/quarterly specials won't be moving for a long time. Wouldn't surprise me that they won't touch much bulk until economy is completely caught up.

Yea I saw the trend was QA2 for 1-2 days, and was worried the extra time meant something was wrong.. oof

I wouldn't trust that tracker they put up. Economy is rolling right now and far ahead of those dates. I think they are trying to only grade economy right now because of the following reason. With less shipments being received they can put those workers that typically check in packages in the shipping department. Economy orders put more strain on shipping because they are smaller orders. Much easier to send back one 200 card order to someone instead of 20 ten card orders. With the lull of orders coming in, prioritizing economy makes complete sense right now.

If PSA can catch back up on economy then it will be easier to open things back up. The bulk will be an issue for the next two years and unless they can double or triple their grading capacity, those cards will continue to sit. PSA is grading at double the rate that they did in 2020. They are at 120,000 collectibles a week now and they should grade over double what they did in 2020. However, 6 million collectibles a year won't be enough. They need to be at 200,000 collectibles a week to even consider bringing back economy again. To bring back bulk they need to be 240,000 a week.

It is crazy to think that if they double their grading output from last year that it won't be enough to overcome their backlog even with suspending 99% of submissions. It would also be stupid for PSA to start grading 15 million collectibles a year. Is there demand for that much? Maybe this year, but what about in 2024? It is hard to predict future demand and you can't just grow a company five times just because of demand during a pandemic.

I believe that they are a lot further a long that the CTD in economy. That date is getting held back due to vouchers. I have had an order sit in QA2 for 15 business days because it contained a voucher that had expired by now but so it needed to be fixed by accounting department. I imagine, most people who used vouchers have seen them expire while in queue.

I also had an order entered in late October fly through the process and currently sits at QA2.

I think it just shows that QA is doing their job. I have never seen PSA go backwards on their tracker. So you really haven't been stuck on QA2 for 2 to 3 weeks, but your order was probably sent back to assembly to fix the mistakes and it needs to go through the process again.

I am absolutely terrified to use my vouchers because of this. The last time I used my vouchers they ignored them and charged me the $20 a card for economy, since that is what it was equivalent to. No big deal at $300. They fixed it in a few weeks.

However, vouchers right show up at the $300 fee. If they make a mistake this time I will be charged 15*$300 = $4500. I know they would fix it, but that would really get me upset!

Believing that tracker they post for data is suspect at best. It is easy to see that they are in October for the majority of economy orders from what people have been posting here. Is there anyone still waiting on an economy order that was entered in September here?

You guys getting upset that stuff isn't moving. Those economy orders that have been sitting in the corner since September/October should be getting processed before everything else, other than what is currently open. A majority of these have CC vouchers involved and these people got absolutely crapped on. Paying upfront and then waiting 9 months, for what was a 20 day turnaround when they were sent in. FIFO, and its going to take some time now. Next should be the Regular and Express orders that were sent in before the March 1st price hike, and the April 1st shutdown after the price hike. These service levels were running around 4-5 weeks door to door up until February. People paying 50 and 75 dollars a card that sent stuff in February shouldn't still be waiting on these.

The bulk is what is. People knew when this stuff was sent in that a year was possible. $10/card, should be at the back of the line. If you sent stuff in that was way more valuable than that submission level. That's on you...

Completely agree that all economy should be completed before bulk. Especially the CC vouchers. Glad they are doing this. I have 6 economy cards coming and have over 200 bulk sitting there from last year. Get economy caught up.

Nobody who sent in a bulk order last summer had any idea it would be a year. Or if there were people who did, you can count them on one hand.

I have orders that were sent last May that were finished in two months. I have orders that were mailed out last June that are still in Newport Beach. Nobody could have predicted that waiting three weeks to send out an order would result in an 11+ month delay.

Agree, more so when their "estimated" turnaround times stayed the same.

Bulk orders that were sent in last February (2020) were shipped out in October. It got progressively worse from there on month after month. So yes, bul orders sent in July, August, September of 2020 knew that they were looking 9-12 months when they sent them. To make matters worse, it got worse after that leading to the October price hikes, then March, then April shutdown.
