And there might not be a ton of room to move up. On the other hand, the biggest positive is the lando and George (and albon) receiving rookie logos on the set in my opinion.

I don’t think the principles of collecting rookies and first cards from major card brands/releases changes just because it’s F1. People will recognize the first cards of the major drivers as important, as long as the sport remains popular which it very much is.

I guess I didn’t mean to suggest it would be different because it’s f1. I was more so questioning it’s relevancy when there is nothing that visually designates it as the first like a “1st” logo. I see the importance, but will the average collector 5 years from now when there are several Lewis Hamilton cards available? On a similar question, how much of a difference in price would we expect Lewis’ 2021 cards to run? If 2020 base chrome is still going for ~$200 would 2021 be ~$100?

Yes just like LeBron first Prizms and other cards there is a massive difference

Long term this prices like 2001 Upper Deck Golf

Hamilton = Tiger Woods

Max= Sergio Garcia

Everybody else= everybody else

Just like in golf in order for somebody to win the rest have to lose. Most of these guys will never win a race let alone a championship. Just like most of the golfers will not win on the tour.

Well, I think there are several young guys that have a lot of potential, especially 2022 and beyond.

Hamilton may be Tiger but the other young stars are from a different generation. They’ll be driving after Lewis retires. They will have opportunity. Time will tell.

Some snags and some pulls this week. Pulled both Gold 70th Hamiltons and the Refractor and made a deal for the Orange /25.

I'm big on the original Chrome variations with them being so hard to hit versus getting 1 per box for Sapphire. And happy to add the George Russell Red /5 and the Yuki Red /5

Awesome pulls and trades. How many boxes did you end up opening to get these?

As someone who has opened 48 boxes and got more on the way I would say you did very well on that box. In saying that I would say 2 out of every 3 boxes seem to be decent to amazing. 1 in 3 boxes are meh. At least odds are with you.

2/2 autos on boxes? nice!

Yeah those are great hits. I have the /25 Lando too. 2/25 accounted for on here!

PSA 9 isn't that bad right? I think I saw there was a PSA 3 in the pop report. Forget which card but for $300 super express, OUCH!

My #1 Lewis Refractor has a fat scaratch on the back middle by the #s I missed the 1st look thru so holding that back but prepping 2 Lewis #1 Sapphires for PSA. Fingers crossed!

I actually sent my Lando to CSG. Even though they all have that defect on the back. Doing the same for my Hamilton refractor. Only $60 for express 21 day turnaround. I'm fed up with PSA and I'm not drinking the Kool Aid anymore. They still have my cards since October I'm pretty sure CSG will be in the top 3 competing equally with PSA and BSG.

Is it just me, or are the orange and gold 70th cards absolute steals?

Could not agree more....they look incredible in hand and to be honest I like them better than the "wave" parallels. Just because it doesn't have a serial number on them doesn't mean they aren't tough hits
