Imagine seeing that white baseball start out really small but it's coming right at you getting bigger and bigger and you open the glove and the ball goes right in...as if Acuna meant to hit that ball right to you (that fan) on a line

I love his swing. Very reminiscent of the players from the old days. Hard to describe but the way his arms move is a very throwback swing. Love it.

The guy I bought this from had hoped this would qualify for BGS 10, and was trying to sneak that in for cheap... he didn’t get the 10, and I got the card... woo woo

Love this kid! Truly fun to watch. Finally bought a few cards, will post when they arrive.

I am mainly a football collector (Mahomes, and a few Herbert along the way last year). I picked up a 2017!Bowman Chrome Refactor rookie auto and a PSA 10 2017 Bowman Chrome. I made a few offers on the Topps Chrome Sapphires. but I am wondering what a good value is for them? Any help would be great appreciated. I looked at past sales, and felt I gave healthy offers... but, no dice.

Acuna is so hot right now and I love the guy big time. But I’ve been holding off buying his stuff right now. Pretty much everyone that collect baseball knows he was under priced before the season kicked off.

Just wait for a dip and load up. Or buy someone else at the moment.

Soto has not made as much noise so his cards have dipped.

Looks like the last PSA 10 did $9450. I would say you would have to be around there for a shot at one if not a little higher as time goes by. The PSA 10's have hardly ever dipped in value. Since they were first released I believe they've outpaced all his other cards and had a 50x in value with most of that coming in the first year. They've slowly and steadily been gaining in value since then. A few other Acuna RCs have actually increased in value a lot more ROI % wise in the last year over the same period (Topps Chrome & Panini stuff). Still, his Sapphire is a blue chipper and picking up one to go with a 2017 Chrome Auto seems like the best plays for long term Acuna buys. Best of luck on it, absolutely gorgeous card in hand.

There are some Trout cards if I waited for a dip I'd be paying a lot more.

I paid up for some decent Acuna last year thinking there wouldn't really be much of a dip. Everything I bought in 2020 is selling for 2-5x what I paid for it. I only had my giant pile of Heritage Acuna and maybe 30 or so other rookies at that point. If prices ever dip down to early 2020 prices I'm buying everything as long as he's still got a pulse.

Thanks so much for the advice and the message. I believe the same as you guys, up is the only way. I cannot see too many drips for the foreseeable future. Did this with Mahomes, kept buying all though 2020/21 and even with the terrible loss in the SB there never really seemed to be a dip, maybe lower end but not the High-end cards. Thankfully, I bought most before the huge jumps.

Also started on Herbert (which goes against my morals as the chargers are a division rival, but that boy can play!). Love acuna, and happy to spend more time in this thread!

Man not too sound like an old timer but..I remember when the same PSA 10 sapphires were selling for $150-200 just after release. I just laugh now since I owned so many of his top SSP’s back then.

Going to GA in 9 days, for a family vacation, And not a Braves fan, but REALLY wanted to be able to see acuna live, So i grabbed tickets to the Sunday game on the 23rd. Really looking forward to it.
