Matt, I'll be around (at least a little) for TP22, 23, 24 (the Griffey set) and whichever else I live to see.

Just for balance, I received my package from Wheeler yesterday. Ordered three cards, and there’s not a foil to be seen anywhere. (I checked the bubble mailer four or five times, it’s definitely not in there.) So all evidence is that the foils just don’t exist.

I am not expecting any impact for this project. I don’t recall saying such? It should make Topps second guess how they implement future projects like this but again it won’t.

I'm waiting for chrome versions...assuming they can chrome a 130pt stock.
They started the foils late in P2020, I assume they did not originally plan on Foils but decided to once print runs dropped. I'm sure there will be a few gimmicks added( autos, more artist giveaways, additional parallels, ect) as this goes on

The lesson is clearly to release more Mets cards.

All thanks to Topps! This set is more fun than talking to a therapist, although probably not cheaper.

Yeah Boggs PR was lower than I hoped. It's all good though.

I don't consider myself to be one of the most popular artists. I was and am still an underdog in many aspects.

At this point for me it's just as much about DEPTH as it is WIDTH. Even just to have 100-1000 people who really understand and connect with me / my work / style is enough for me in this season. My work is different and not for everyone, and I can't help but be me!

Ideally you can do both, depth AND width, but it's a marathon, not a sprint. Still just getting started, and a long way to go from here, far beyond Project70. Grateful to have you along for the ride.

Why couldn't they chrome 130pt unless the machine isn't set up for it, the chrome is just a top layer.

Oh. Don't you worry.

More gimmicks are on the way.

Autos. Sapphires. Variants. SPs.

But, hey at least there's a poster at the end

I just assume they can't or it would cause the cards to warp. I don't think I have seen anything thicker than Heritage chromed

Efdot. You've been crushing it this year. Even though I've only ordered your Acuna, I love that you're talking risks and vowed no repeats from your p2020 set.

You'll have an amazing body of work at the end, and probably one of the strongest sets for p2021

Don't make Yankees or Dodgers cards, they say*

*verbally only, not with their wallets.

All good tho. Like Efdot said, it's a marathon!
Appreciate everyone who pickup up cards from this drop

I'm waiting for Blue the Great's Ichiro numbers to finalize by round, but, Yankees/Dodgers avg PR is 3464 and average accross all other teams is 3,578.

That said, those numbers are helped by Pardee, Trout, Tatis, and Acuna (obviously some overlap there).

We (here) all know that what drives PRs is great cards. Mondays were great, that's not shade!

High/Low PRs can only be determined when this thing is over.

The Buster 2155 might yet end up in the 90th percentile.

[currently ranked 118 so actually not possible, but could end up 85th percentile still ha ha]

Greatness plays a role, but it has to be great in a new, exceptional, and attention-grabbing way. It probably helps if it's marketed well. Run-of-the-mill great cards just get lost in a set this big.

Otherwise, PRs are driven by Trout, Tatis, Acuna, Soto, maybe Ohtani, possibly Vlad Jr, and at least until people get sick of his cards, Mantle. I wouldn't put any current Yankee on that list. And, not every card can be one of those 7 players in a set this big.

If high print runs are a goal, do NOT listen to the people here requesting Tug McGraw or Rich Gedman.

ATTN: Artists covering Braves players. If it isn't Acuna and you're doing a Braves card targeting Braves fans, do Dale Murphy. Trust me on this, particularly now that Aaron and Chipper have multiple cards.

Signed,
Lifelong Braves Fan

P.S. Greg Maddux should also have a card by now but whatever... Just the greatest pure pitcher of his generation.

That's the new variable I need to add to my PR exercise (which is bringing me about 33% of the total joy I am getting from this set). Is it 'Exceptional/Great', 'Run of the mill great', or 'we're sick of that kind of great'
