I have a shipment that was requested in November which was meant to ship first week of February. Yet to ship. No reply to emails. I also have another order from December which has yet to ship. I genuinely fear I will never see these cards. All up $600+. It's beyond belief.

Serious question: Is there a regulator in the state of Washington that could look into them if a formal complaint was made? Surely they are breaching some consumer laws with the way they are currently operating?

Anyone have any helpful suggestions?

Either I complained enough (unlikely), or they're making major strides in their backlog? I'm very happy that at least one shipment has gone out. Here's hoping the order is correct.
Good for you.

I think it would be wishful thinking to asume they are clearing their backlog. It would be great if they are but given how they have conducted themselves in the last 12 months I seriously doubt it. They seem to cherry pick certain late shipments based on the amount of public relations damage they feel they will incur if they let it go on. Clearly they have people monitoring social media. Why not use those persons to reply to emails?

I'd love to be a fly on the wall at their HQ.

Members here who have contacted the Washington Attorney General have seemed to have success getting COMC to immediately ship cards.

My card came damaged with two dinged corners on each cards on the bottom. The picture didn't have the damage. I can't believe they put two $40 card into sleeves with just cardboard. They stuffed the little paper receipt into a extremely tight penny sleeves. Obviously they don't care about shipping and it is $4.99 shipping. I was pretty fed up with the shipping time, but even the low, or negative feedbacks eBay seller have better care. I've had past orders from COMC, most were not gradable and I accept, but this time it is just not acceptable.

Just sharing my recent experience with a shipment.

I paid the ransom for the "Rushed" option on 9 cards, the cheapest of which was $40, the rest were between $50-$450.
All arrived in top loaders

Date Requested: 4/25/2021
Estimated Ship Date: 5/3/2021
Actual Ship Date: 4/30/2021
Estimated Delivery Date: 5/4/2021
Actual Delivery Date: 5/4/2021

This is what makes the situation unbelievable. You have people who paid so much extra for rushed shipments in February/March who have not received cards but this order ships early. It says a lot about their mentality - we're okay with losing business.

I suppose from a twisted sense I understand backburning late submissions "Oh, it's late. they get the discount, they'll wait while we finish these new ones so they don't get a discount", but they don't refund on late shipping unless you pester them, and of course it's just bad business in general. Have a buddy who has an economy shipment 6 months in now, it's just insane.

Contacted them about a card I sent to auction almost 2 months ago. The time estimate provided when sending it to auction and agreeing to their terms was the following week, but I was told items sent inventory-->auction can take up to 2 months.

The fact that you have to send email after email and twist arms to get a response is just more proof they have little interest in retaining customers. As a consignor (soon to be former) this attitude towards customers is ridiculous - though they don't treat sellers much differently.

Because of the huge influx of new folks to the hobby, I'm sure their account numbers are probably growing still and obviously people are still buying but they've alienated many long time users and once the fad fades they'll start to see a decline across the board.

I can tell you that there is one piece of evidence I can point to right now that moved me from slightly worried to alarmed and it has to do with the promotion I'm running right now.

Is it the lack of buying on site that is causing you worry?

I recently joined COMC, but my stay will be short lived. I’ve always been an eBay seller, but like the idea of COMC as more of a trading platform. But my current experience has me done with them.

Had guaranteed 3 week service, that they eliminated after they received my items. The 4/26 deadline, past. Updated my estimated date to 5/18. In the 8 days since that date, the further delayed my processing 7 days to 5/25. So effectively my processing date got 1 day closer in a full 7 day week.

After posting a complaint to the BBB, I finally got a response to the multiple emails I sent. Saying sorry we’re busy.

Asked them to return the batch and my entire inventory beyond that to me, and we’ll see where that goes. But I’m out shipping to them, plus return shipping to me for no effectively service. Plan to comment to the Washington State AG myself.

That's the general idea but more along the lines of experience running a sale in the past versus what I'm seeing right now. Without going over every detail - the volume feels off and stuff is being left that would normally have been snapped up instantly.

I assumed flipping was still going strong but maybe not...I saw a really big slow down the couple of days when everyone was struggling with site access and a small recovery since.

When you're the only game in town, service doesn't matter. That's the attitude - take what you're given or buzz off.

I asked for the same amount...just a day later. Hopefully it comes today. Don't want it to be like before where paypal deposits took a week or longer.

Yes - having just been through your port (and bought some low end stuff) I see what you mean in terms of what's still there a good length of time after you started the sale. I'm only buying stuff that I'm prepared to be patient about flipping right now.

With that said, given the way you port was priced to often be just about the lowest on the site, I think if you are super keen to get out (which you may or may not be) I'd consider increasing the sale to 55% off. A lot of flippers seem to like being able to list for a little more than double and still be comfortably the lowest on the site.

I wrote them today about this shipment that I have previously talked about in this thread. Of course, I received nothing in return from them and no update online.

Thanks for your purchases. I'll be bumping it to 60% in a few days - no rush on my end really as this is all stuff to liquidate. Knowing what usually is sold almost immediately in a port sale like this, it seems to indicate that there is less confidence than there used to be.

I'm still waiting on about 25-30 cards to finish out all of my processing. Hopefully they get to those soon - a few are now 5-6 months past and the majority were originally due three months ago.

Threaten to file a complaint with the AG. You'll get a response from them

My economy rushed that was supposed to ship today has no update, and doubting it goes out by the end of the day. Amazing that you pay for an upgraded service that is still one month out, and they still can't meet it. This was my last attempt with them. Maybe I'll get the cards one day.

I have seen this more then once here the idea of COMC as more of a trading platform. I can not see how it is a trading platform if you can not talk to an other member and work out a deal on a trade All you do is sell and take the money and buy. There is no trading. They even quit saying you can trade on their platform.

I sent them a very nice e-mail asking about a card I wanted returned. I purchased it but seen it was labeled wrong right after purchasing it. It was listed it as a /99 but really was a /199 it was real hard to see the 1 in the /199 because of the watermark. This was over a month ago. They changed the listing right away but did not return the card. After all this time and several messages I have put it up for sale hoping to break even on it. The card is under $2 so it is not a big thing. Just show how much they care.

I told them I would still buy from them only when the cards were real cheap and would be cutting back because I did not want to wait a year to get them. Some of the cards in my shipment was purchased in 2019.

I even asked if who ever reads my message would just take a few seconds and hit reply and say Yes I read it.

Yeah, I'm a little fish and I've stopped flipping. I stopped submitting years ago because their issues then were too much, but I enjoyed flipping stuff and occasionally shipping stuff home. But if I can't ship stuff realistically for at least a year at reasonable prices by which time they may very well be out of business with me behind a long list of creditors, stuff there only has on-site value, and that is dropping rapidly.
