Well that's my fear.the hot blasters that are going for 150 on Ebay may become 400 blasters.

It’s not a lie if told to a flipper.

I stopped by my Target at about 7:40am, and was about 40th or so in line. I don't know how people show up at this time and are like 5th in line. Crazy.

I stayed around, thinking I might get something Pokémon for my nephew and kids. Well, luck would have it they still had Select cello's left so I got 2 of those(my store had a limit of 2 per transaction, of everything, doesn't matter if you want pokemon too, only max of 2 total).

I know the first 3 people were there since 6:30pm last night, they probably got 2 prizm blasters each, and then they went back in line and I guarantee all that was left was baseball and pokemon. So wait 14 hours to make $200 back seems ridiculous to me.

Next week with the 1 item per customer, should be interesting. Maybe I can get a blaster finally.

It really is a security issue, they don't want the liability...especially if somebody ends up getting beat up, stabbed, or shot over some ghost chairs while camping out overnight.

Well their first attempt lasted only a couple weeks, let's see how long the newest policy will last.

I used to go to my target and one day saw a 13 year old trying to buy half the store. I told the youngster that a)it was bad karma to buy 40 boxes b)it would lead to bad things for the hobby c)the store would eventually figure it out and stop him in the future d)it would lead to bad habits in life that would ruin him. as he was waiting for 5 friends to show up another kid saw him w/the boxes, started a massive fight and the next day the store went to limits it had tried to avoid.

Wife went to Walmart yesterday for some stuff. With as crazy as everything has been everywhere else (especially the coasts/Northeast), we still never saw anyone camping out and/or waiting around inside the store on a expected restock day. 5 guys were standing around in the women's sports bras section, looks like my days of being able to score retail are over.

To get rid of the resellers and reduce the number of people lining up once and for all, Target should

1) Limit purchases to REDcard holders only, prevents double dipping if they lock it at the card level.

AND

2) Remove the shrink wrap on the blasters, hangers, or cut off the top on the cellos and fat packs.

Collectors can still enjoy what's left.

interesting tidbit from the Target I was at this morning

they told us all the new procedure next week, but they also said the "1 per item per day" only applied to the $19.99 or more stuff and that its still on Fridays

the cellos, gravity packs, hangers whatnot that get stocked by vendor at any point earlier in week still get on shelf as normal 3 per sku

Yeah every target is doing it differently. Nothing is explained in specifics.either way ,I'm all done with this.im not paying hobby prices and done with lining up or going out of my way for one item.i will just enjoy what I already have in my collection.hopefully when things calm down I can get something.

I disagree with this if more people are able to grab a box or two they will be less likely to pay stupid markups. Now down the road maybe as the product dries yes but in the beginning no. If i can get a box or two at msrp i am not wasting money on the secondary market after that but othersmay feel different

Target San Diego update:

3 total Item limit today, 1 of any product.

They said the same thing next Friday the 30th, only 1 item per day.

I was 30th in line, and got there around 7:45 to get on virtual list (text). Was able to check out at 8:30 am.

1 Select Football blaster (amazed to get this)
1 Pokemon shining fates box
1 different Pokemon shining fates box.

In stock earlier, Prizm basketball, Shining legends ETB
In stock when to Choose, Heritage mega, MLS blaster, repack blaster, Opening day blaster, Hockey series 2 blaster, Lots of Battle styles ETB, Shining Fates tins, Shining Fates Pikachu.

People were lined up to do a second pass (text line) as there were still some stuff left.

Just curious if anyone else is noticing all the new/low feedback eBay sellers selling sealed retail calling blasters and hangers "hobby boxes" in the title and description.

Makes it hard to find hobby boxes.

Wondering if target new policy 1 box per person will cause even more people to come out apr 30th. Before most people could do math and realize if you are not top 8 if there is 3 per sku allowed you are done for. Now with just 1 box per person perhaps 70 to 100 people try target next week? Right now I have seen 20 to 40 people opening 3 different targets in my town last 4 weeks.
