Beautifully lol. I think they have service levels of like $1 that takes a week and rest maybe .50 ea at 3 weeks? But you just estimate how many, send in penny sleeves and they categorize, scan and list for you. You just have to enter your values.

I do wish they had made it a sticker album like they do for nba/nfl/soccer. That would have been fire.

I will take this one step further and add in a thought I've had with ranking recently:

USA shards

USA holos
Italy shards

Italy holos
Revisiting this theory after a month.

Not sure what everyone's thoughts are on the current landscape but I think two predicted outcomes have come to fruition:

1. US holo slab influx would combat demand and temporarily level out.

I think BK is the no brainer measure here. I've seen a bit of panic recently because a PSA 9 just went for $4250. No one mentioning the PSA 7 that sold a week before that for $2800 lol.

Think we are seeing a good pool of guys without tons of card experience seeing high comps on rarer pop stuff, then when they get no bites on best offers they decide to send to auction thinking that's that and they'll match comps.

Also think quite a few people were taking for granted how quickly the market grew and as some high end sports guys came in looking for high grade PSA BK USA holos a lot of people wanted to "take gains". Not that easy when it's an infant market lol and to me this should be expected as it grows organically. Cannot force growth esp on something that makes sense in terms of sustainability.

Either way, I think after this 10 auction underwhelms a bit (I'll guess 15, I'm tempted to move a few things and double down on one), we'll see that comp squashed in due time. PSA 2019 FN pop has doubled since value packs hit the radar and surprisingly BK 10s have only doubled to pop 8. 50 graded. Of the 8 out there I know at least 3 are tucked away so imo worst possible time to auction one. As low as that 10 pop is I think it will get even lower over time now that packs have been shredded and most BK's were assumedly expressed or higher.

2. Italy shards would flood the market after tons of affordable repack rips.

More predictable than the USA holo surge lol. I have noticed over the past few days my crystal shard ebay node isn't blue every time I go to check. Still only 547 results returned worldwide when searching "fornite crystal shard" so this feels like it could be bottom with a slight upswing coming at some point in the near future.

As much as demand has climbed in a few months, I can't imagine there are more than 5,000-10,000 people worldwide. Anyone going deep on this stuff already knows how difficult it is to snag USA shards, as there as still a few I have never seen. I think worst case once S3 releases we will see a big surge in entrants and as they work back to S1 I think this is where Italy shards start to become a litte more in demand. Just a guess though.

Just my .02. Actual fun post following.

Alright fun post time.

As time has progressed and after already having a ton of Italy shards my main search became USA shards. Wasn't hard to see how difficult they were to find and how sought after they were. After some big time fomo I came across a red knight that had been up with a holo for quite some time, list price was $7777. After some back and forth we ended up settling on $3750. Sent it in and threw a couple sacrifical lambs in front of it and was fortunate enough to end up with this whale:

This next one has been my favorite add thus far. I have a buddy I met through basketball cards of all things who was also somehow really into FN. As he had a couple orders pop and as a few skins started to seem like I'd never find them I knew I had to pony up for this one. Probably my favorite skin alongside Omega, just a badass design and love how the entire card pops.

After that the USA shard search became pretty dry. Over summer a week after I started buying I came across a USA mega case and snagged it for $1800 (posted earlier in this thread). I started running worst case scenario outcomes on the case and came to the conclusion that even if it flopped, I could still grade and sell most off and keep a few bangers. No cash out, my choice of what I keep, just made too much sense as I doubt anyone is buying a full unopened case at currnet costs. Couple buddies grabbed some DA packs and after meeting up with them they decided to rip. After seeing condition and how well they did I knew it was time.

No BK, no Peely, no Luxe, no Skull Trooper. But after that I felt like it went as great as possible. All of these are at PSA so anxiously awaiting how it goes.

One thing I noted was 10 of the packs had a gash on the front card (for anyone thinking of ripping these). Luckily dodged a bullet with Brite who came out super clean. Brite was actually accompanied by Red Knight which was absolutely incredible lol.

By far the craziest and most fun rip of my life and already know the downside is it will be difficult to find something that compares going forward. Had a blast though and glad I did it.

Lastly, have to give a huge shout to cardbored for originally sharing his value pack rips here. After discussing through pm it became wildly obvious these were a home run so I ordered quite a few and decided to express a lot of them before PSA shut down. Lot of 9s which I think will do great over time but main goal was to hit some 10s to hoard for the long haul. Still have a few out but these have been most of the bigger hits for the pc. Never in my wildest dreams would've through a dart investment would turn into an obsession lol.

Ironically it seems like it's more so dads who are heavily into sports cards and their kids play it.

Anyone see that USA PSA 9 BK go for $765? Absolutely atrocious end time on the auction ~4am EST?!? Head scratcher and hurts comps across the board.

Oh well, think this market needed a bit of a correction and cool off. I’m currently scooping up raw Galaxy and Black Knight “Ready to Jump” stickers. They appear to be severely undervalued if S1 cards manage to hold long term value. Also produced in 2019, same year as S1.

There are so many sellers that have no idea what they are doing with this stuff and I think dollar signs push patience aside more often than not. Correction was definitely due.

Having seen most of what's out there from S1 and S2, knowing approximate rarity with (still) only a handful of people actually buying FN up to this point (compared to any other card segments it has to be incredibly low still with many not even knowing it exists yet), not much has changed with my sentiment on the short and long term outlook and it will be business as usual for me going forward.

You noticing a similar cool down in other card segments?

I’ve got lots of patience with this stuff...feels like a temporary lull. S3 and more stimmy checks will catalyze the next rip higher.

Sorry if this has been discussed before but why are the Series 1 mega boxes worth so much? A BO competitor has them on sale right now for “only” $2274 (discounted from $3999) but blaster boxes are $50 and gravity feed boxes $150. What could possibly be in the mega box to justify the price?

Ice Shards. They are the nicest and rarest cards by far.

Huge dip in the fortnite market recently. I’m going to blame PSA shutting down partially.

Yes. Usually this is the dead period each year for football, seems like once camps start up and football is back up the market is usually hot all around. Plus it's summer I mean who doesn't wanna have a good time and spend money on cardboard when it's nice out lol.

I think this has something to do with it as well. Not like PSA slabs are readily available for people getting in. I've been sending a few auctions here and there so the market can keep setting comps and so people can start adding slabs. Still the wild west with pops being so low and comps few and far between.

Lucky and congrats! I bought ~500 of the dollar tree packs and did not hit a black knight

Also...one of the "other" online stores has a sale for Memorial Day weekend
S1 Blasters $44.95
S1 Megas USA $1,599.95
S1 retail box 36 packs $159.95

$4.44 per pack for retail sounds decent, right?
