So he stuck his elbow out at a pitch that was actually in the k-zone (but likely would've been a ball).

Next for Mike Trout, an Academy Award.

Mike Trout is a better actor then you all realize.

Yeah, he probably doesn't need to take pitches to the elbow on purpose though.

And now he’s out of the game. Being down 7-0 hopefully it’s just precautionary

I’d rather have a bucket of balls.

How would they have done that?

Yankees had him number one on their draft board, but didn't pick until #29. He went #25...

My bad but if they believed in him so much
they could have tried to move up in the draft
to pick him. If you recall the scouting report
on him wasn’t so sterling otherwise he would
have been drafted higher but a number of teams.
Meanwhile the Angels top scout said
he basically would have bet his
life on how good Trout was and he was right.

You can't move up in the draft...

Right again! Well i guess they shouldn’t have
traded for Teixeria because it cost them the
Chance to draft Trout. But I still contend that
nobody was higher on Trout than Angel scout
Eddie Bane.

Contusion is the best injury to have. No damage to bones or anything.

What are you talking about? They signed Teixeira. Then won the World Series.

Ok, so I was curious why the Yankees picked 29th when they didn't make the playoffs in 2008. Interestingly enough, it looks like it was because they drafted Gerrit Cole the year before, but didn't sign him.

Just remember,
The Mariners took Dustin Ackley with the second overall pick. We had a season of “refuse to lose” and then decided it was way too exciting for Seattle so, we keep last place on lock. Not right away in the season. But eventually we earn last and defend it with everything we have. It would’ve been hard to keep that up with Trout around.

The Yankees forfeited the 25 pick when
they signed Teixeria but the Angels also
had the 24 pick and most likely would have
used that to take Trout instead.
