That's a good one thank you. Anything newer than 16 years ago?

I know I am the .01 percent but even if the player wore it specifically to put in cards I still think it is neat.

My issue is how do we even know that happened. Can anyone confirm they just send it to the agent as is suggested by a lot of people?

They could ask for a picture.

Off the top of my head, nothing significant. NT has traditionally had some RPAs of non-Rookie Premiere players as recently as a couple of years ago, but only from certain teams. 2013 Spectra also had a few game-worn RCs, but I can't remember if they were RPAs or just patch cards.

The only recent case I can remember of a Rookie Premiere player having a game-worn RPA is when Panini had to remake the Ezekiel Elliott Immaculate RPAs. They were released sometime in 2017, but Panini cut up a gamer to make them and featured it in a blog post.

This.

The great thing about PC'ing the Buccaneers is that player-worn or not, the patches normally used in the RPA's look great and have 3 to 6 color-breaks so it makes them more appealing and when I sell them I can make a premium based on how they stand out against other team's RPA's

Tampa cards definitely have sick patches, RPA or not.

RPA's only matter when the product brand is strong (NT, Flawless, The Cup, Immac) and the key RPA is also the True RC, if the brand is weak the RPA doesn't matter too (Spectra, Inception, Origins etc.).

People love rarity on top of rarity, so the multi colour-, team logo-, brand patches, Tags and the grail Logoman/Shields adds additional value, because each RPA is very unique.

Since game worn stuff is anyhow difficult to authenticate, the illusion is nowadays enough.

In 1998, UD created a Vince Carter Game Jersey using authentic, game worn jerseys in an NBA game.

Lots of regression since then.

I don’t value RPAs like I do UD GU autos

Some people, like myself, don't care one iota if the swatch was game worn or not. It's not like you're getting a game worn jersey, you're getting a 2 square inch of a swatch of jersey at most.
I'm more into whether the swatch was included in the design of the card and not just randomly placed somewhere obnoxious on the card.

Watch the youtube video showing how Panini makes their cards. They have a ton of player jerseys on a rack, they pull it off, cut it up and place the pieces in the cards. i doubt the players even got anywhere near these jerseys, look like they were just purchased from a jersey store. It's an illusion, but it works for Panini.

This. Look at the majority of all the super sick nasty Cam Akers patches this year. They’re gold and navy blue so obviously nothing he ever could’ve worn. At least use the team’s current uniforms for crying out loud!!!

EDIT: Just looked on eBay and even National Treasures is using the old gold/navy blue Rams jerseys lmao.

That’s how it is for all the teams with new uniforms this year. Chargers, Bucs, Rams, etc.

Which is bizarre!!! At least give the illusion it could be game worn haha, but obviously Panini doesn’t care when people errr breakers err gambling addicts keep blindly handing them their money.

I love the Topps cards that have the authentication hologram that shows what actual game/games it’s from.
