Default Kobe game used

Well this might not be the most iconic Kobe game used, this might not be the most rare or expensive one... But you know what? I do not care...I love this card because I've pulled it from a pack, because I like the design and because it's a Kobe game worn... It's my card...

Wait ... Jordan, Wilt, & Russell have a game used card together? Never knew that - Awesome card ... Stockton's probably confused why he's on the card too though, lol

How have I never seen this thread before? Game used cards are the best out there for my money (figuratively speaking)

That Manu is insane. 10 breaks if I'm counting correctly?? Such great use of foil on that design and the radiating curves from the patch window draw great attention to the jersey. Awesome pickup and another example of why card backs are pretty cool.

That's a great price for a card like this. Was that recent? Definitely wild to think how good of a value it is compared to other cards like many prizm silvers as you mentioned.

I'll share a similar experience I had with a Duncan jersey, which sadly won't be staying with me long but will soon be moving along to a hobby friend I met via discord.

It's getting buried by all the pump threads! lol. thanks, yea love that year of sp game used

One of my favorite JKidd cards. The only card I have seen showing his old free throw routine, which I used to copy as a Kidd lol.

I love game used cards! Some of my favorite Kobe game used. Everything is game used except for the 14K gold "N" patch.

Why didn't you get some of those MJ cards graded? Just curious because I have the 1998 UD.

I’d still say these were the weirdest game used inserts

Amazing cards in this thread.

When I got back into collecting I was surprised to see that autos were WAY more popular than game used materials. I understand why autographs used to be popular since back in the day you actually had to see the athlete in person. Now autos are just part of an assembly line, at least that's what it seems like to me. But game used materials? I mean that's a part of history.

Just got this old school Duncan Jersey Card in today. Love it because it's a swatch of a Wake Forest jersey. Back when pulling these kind of cards was awesome!

Lol at those Kobes. I feel slightly unworthy to even look at that incredible collection of cards

I could not agree with you more, and I think we see that with memorabilia right? An autographed random jersey vs. a non-autographed but game used jersey? Game used is worth way more right? Literally part of the NBA games we all love to watch. And I guess vets have a ton of game used jerseys out there but in theory they could sign thousands of cards a year every year for decades after retirement, but once they retire, the game used jerseys they have by that time are set in stone. I'm totally on board with you.

Cool card! Can you imagine Panini making a scarce, exciting to pull memorabilia set? Seems like an impossibility. I think it's the lowest type of card in terms of popularity so I don't see much of an impetus for them.

back in 06 if you asked collectors if they would rather have a Lebron jersey card or a Lebron topps chrome base, everybody would pick the jersey card
