I'm calling it now.
And if I end up being wrong I'll just delete this thread and pretend I never posted this. Edit: I'd like to be serious for a moment. Trevor Lawrence Select XRC redemptions are selling for more than Patrick Mahomes XRC's after he won league MVP and threw 50 touchdowns. Trevor Lawrence isn't even in the nfl yet. These prices make absolutely no sense. Last edited by CoronaBowl LV; 04-09-2021 at 09:50 PM. |

That's a pretty low bar, and one very few 1st round QB's managed to top. Being busted out of the league by the end of your 2nd year.
Manziel did it. How many other modern day QB's have done the same? I'll take the over of Trevor career for sure. Seems like easy money. Johnny lost twice as many games his final season in Texas, than Trevor did his entire 3 year starting career for Clemson. That has to be good for at least 1 more year than Johnny, right? |

When I watched him play in college I saw a playing style that I didn't think will translate well in the NFL. I don't think he will be a bust but I could see him being a career journeyman/backup.

I'm not sure his style will translate well to the NFL. My wife keeps telling me to make sure I "buy that guy with the long hair" but I think I'll hold off.

Reminds me of the Zion hype. Overall, I doubt he will hold up to his hype but maybe he will be a fun player to watch for a few years.

I think it will be Wilson. Jets will find a way to ruin him!

He might be a bust as Jacksonville has been largely a black hole for talent since Coughlin was fired by them 2 decades ago. |

You can't really put Manziel in the same conversation as Trevor. Manziel was drafted #22 by the Browns. If the Browns had not drafted him he might have gone in the 2nd or as late as the early 3rd round. The expectations on Manziel were rather low much like Tebow from most in NFL circles. His failure was almost to be expected.
Trevor is the #1 pick. His failure would be more akin to a David Carr, Rick Mirer, Ryan Leaf if he were to fail. I think he has a great chance to succeed but as with almost all NFL QB's his legacy will depend on having a franchise that can give him the right pieces and have good coaching. I don't think he's a Brady, Peyton, Montana, Mahomes type QB who can excel no matter who is playing around him. He's more dependent.

He’s basically the second coming of Ryan Tannehill if I had to pick someone to compare him to.
