I agree with Igantius. That stub is something else!

Thanks Irv! Here are close-up shots of the stub. My favorite aspect is definitely the correct date written in over the 4th due to a rainout!

Dimaggio also extended his hitting streak to 48 games in the doubleheader. It's a superpowered Yankee's history stub!

Agree that Gehrig stub is absolutely incredible. Love the '33 DeLong card as well - my favorite of his!

I love writing on old items that have historical significance. Especially old scorecard, stubs, and such. I've got a 1886 Old Hoss Radbourn scorecard that was filled out by someone at the game. One of my favorite items.

Old Hoss with the win that day in DC. One of my favorite baseball personalities.

My Otto, favorite card even over my jim l I posted earlier in thread.

It's a beautiful 3
Next 3 I need to get is

Dub Jones...had a beautiful Bowman card offered at a good price before the Covid boom kicking myself since for not getting it

Marion Motley...that guys gonna take some bucks for a good grade unfortunately hopefully some day

And finally Paul Warfield for god's sake

There's other great past players as well but these are THE 3 for me atm

I only started this collection in. Late 2018 so I think it's a hell if a start personally

Oh this is fantastic! What a great piece to have in a collection. It's like watching a game from 1886!

I'm on my phone without my glasses. Was Hoss 2/4? I want to look at this on my computer because I'm really curious to see how he kept score. I love going to a balllgame by myself and keeping score.

Yeah it looks like he went 2 for 4 that day with that bat as well. He had a losing record for the year of 27-31 ,and only 509 innings pitched for the season. lol.

He battled arm issues for most of his career. 1884 likely contributed to that the year he won 60 games in 678.2 innings.

Here are some highlights of the past month. Lasorda has been a want for a while, and the Christy speaks for itself . And if you haven't done so already, I highly recommend looking up John Coleman's 1883 pitching line - epic! Seems only right to share John Coleman and Christy Mathewson in the same bunch, haha. Two very different pitching careers.

Low grade Kaline. My PC run of 1954 and 1955 rookies are now complete. (window reflection on the left)

Trying to switch some focus this year to vintage cards. Have created a 1940s showcase of rookie cards to go along with the 1950s rookie cards and just thought this group might enjoy seeing some of these together. Hopefully to watch some additions this year as well.

and for those that enjoy vintage football, the top portion of this showcase has some older rookie cards

Picked this card up at a local shop today. Very pleased to add this card to my collection given attell’s participation in the black Sox scandal, a nice piece of history and conversational piece.

Scored this nice Carl Furillo RC. Looks really nice in the holder, very sharp colors. What a beautiful vintage card this is. Glad to add it to the ol' PC.

Long overdue but picked this up. Still need just a few high end vintage but most of the HOF types are now accounted for.

That is a sweet looking card. I love the colors and the black SGC background only helps the contrast and overall eye appeal of the card.

That’s a sharp Bobby Mitchell RC! His rookie is on my want list. Here are a few of the cards I’ve been able to pick up so far this year..

Got a 1959 Mays from B/S/T in BO. Not willing to spend the big bucks on vintage until PSA returns my cards from their hostage situation they have. So until then small, cheap purchases. Looking at some all-star cards now, some pretty good deals still available IMO.
