LOL at basketball throwbacks.

Panini knows who their high end audience really is.

Blowout finally changing it up.

“Boxes carry an increased suggested retail price of $1,000.”

I'm still finding it hard to believe that the pre-order price is $5,000/box.

Is this Basketball

Product is ok at 600-700... seriously... I’m not kidding

20k per case. It’s has to be getting to a point

Where all these new people have to start realizing they are getting massively ripped off ?

Even the buyers in gambling breaks ?

Man, I miss the days when those two Brady cards wouldn’t cost me $15k each.

The two Brady autos are on glossy finish.

Not a fan in a high end product. Of course this precludes I can even look at a box of NT to begin with.

I don't get it, what is wrong with glossy finish?

$5,000/32 teams - $156 roughly at cost for a random team break.......

OF ONE BOX!

People are going to be pricing the Chargers at like $2,500 per box on this stuff for breaks.... these prices are just so stupid now

Ya, that's insane. I watch Layton's breaks often just to see what the normal content is like coming out of a box of a new product. Secretly I'm always hoping they aren't able to sell out their breaks and that people will wake up to the price gouging. But inevitably they always eventually sell out. Unfortunately

Although it appears more recently that it's getting harder and harder for them to fill breaks. They have to constantly keep encouraging people to buy buy buy.... and it often drags out past the scheduled break time. Maybe that's a good sign that buyer mentality is changing for the better

Cut them some slack. They're only making somewhere between one and five thousand dollars for eight pieces of cardboard. That's not nearly enough to be able to afford the time to be able to check for errors like that.

I used to watch Layton when I got back into the hobby around 2017. They were really just getting hot at that point and then moving into 2018 there breaks were sold out by the time they went on air. I stopped watching a year plus ago because they went from being a fun place to watch to something a lot less enjoyable. If they are having difficulty selling out breaks, things must be trending in the wrong direction for them.

If breakers start losing money on product, there is going to be a significant problem for the distributors.

They can lead to streaky/smudged autos if the ink isn't dry as they are being signed.

I am more partial to matte finish on cards to avoid the image being washed out in the light too. More of a personal preference on my part.

This is done on purpose with mock ups all of the time to prevent people from copying the designs and passing them off as their own (as we see all over eBay with mock ups of real cards).

So the 2020 FOTL dutch auction tomorrow starts at $10,000 with a floor of $2500.

Last years FOTL started at $2500 with a floor of $750.....and it sold out for ~$1100 (including taxes).

Just wanted to give everyone some perspective before the insanity of tomorrow hits.

What’s more crazy is that about 3-4 weeks after 2019 NT FOTL came out you could have sold for around 90% of what they sell for almost a year later. Has to be 1 of the worst holds since around this time last year.
