I am surprised so many people are willing to pay $20 for those. It is a unique concept, but that Strawberry card was especially weak.

I got the Seaver card, even though I knew it would be too dark and not spend that much time in my rotating desktop display. I figured A) Seaver is getting <5 cards in this set, so why not, and B) the card showed a unique perspective and had something to say about Seaver.

That's my minimum requirement for buying a card of a player that I like: it may not be the most attractive card, but at least the artist is saying something about the player that I can't get in any other baseball card. But, OMA probably has too much to say about Chipper in his card.

Naturel confirmed that his P70 cards will have Easter eggs. The Soto one was pretty obvious. Other highlights from the Naturel pack-opening last night:
- Over everything he opened [that I saw before going to bed], Lance McCullers Jr and AJ Pollock were his (devastating) auto hits
- Based on how he was reacting to pulling Marlins, probably no Marlins in his P70 set
- He didn't announce who he's doing, but maybe Scherzer, RJ, a rookie, would like Bo, he wants Barry badly
- Big Lou Bob fan but it didn't sound like he was in the set
- Bench was huge, he transcended baseball, like a baseball Joe Namath

Surprised even the name is available to all, but it should be terrific. I know I’m pumped.

$5US per card is a bargain, for sure, but am showing plenty of support already with all the P2020 companion cards.

same. Mets don't get a ton of representation in the on-demand space, so it's disappointing to see stuff like the seaver/straw when they finally do get a card.

I've got enough 80s-90s cardboard, I refuse to spend $20 apiece on junk that I'd appreciate less than my '87 topps team set.

I see deGrom being in the same 2-4 card range as Seaver, so I don't expect the first deGrom until around card 300.

I got the Seaver card also for basically the same reasons. I found the card to be very disappointing.

Thanks, now I don't need to see 5 more posts pumping his Patreon card talking about how amazing Efdots next cards will be.

The player is a must buy for me but the card also needs to be artistically well done (my own view) for me to purchase it.

I'm not in his Patreon, and I'm not a huge efdot fan/supporter, but it's unclear to me what the issue is with posts with excitement/anticipation for upcoming cards?

Yeah, nothing wrong with having an enthusiastic fan base. If the issue is folks feeling like we are keeping secrets, then I guess I understand. But Efdot shares stuff in his Patreon group with the understanding that we won't come out here and post it right away, which most normal people will respect. Pumping future releases is something we have done all throughout this thread.

Sure, maybe its the terms like "epic" and "awesome" that make it a bit much when it all comes to what each person collects and if they enjoy the artwork presented with the player.

I'd be all in for, say, an OMA deGrom card of a blue and orange medieval tapestry that shows a Jacob deGrom lookalike jousting. He can put Jacob deGrom's name in big medieval typeface with an ornate, decorated J and d above the tapestry.

No way Efdot or Blake tops that.
