Seems like you invested in all the right stuff. Are there bad buys that you lost a lot of money on?

I would say less than 500K, rest was reinvesting profits. I am currently in the process of narrowing down my collection to less than 100 cards by the end of this year.

Still crazy you had that amount of liquid cash to drop in a year. You run a hedge fund or something? Haha

Still freaking awesome stuff man I'm jealous

You should post a picture of that card. You never ended up showing it in the thread you started and I'm sure we'd all love to see a picture of it.

Exactly!

Awesome collection but rich person becoming richer isn't as impressive as someone grinding from the bottom like a lot of other collectors out there with massive collections have done.

The collection has evolved since the original post last May. I do have 101 and Fleer 86. I went after rarer ones such as PMG Red and Jambalaya first

Tons of rich people didn't have the foresight or courage to buy the cards like OP.

Don't be a hater.

That is incredible - especially in just two years! Great choices on cards and players, especially the legends.

WOW - Even with $500 K to start ... There's gotta be at least 10 million, if not way more worth of cards here.

So, what cards did you have that you eventually sold off then? Because obviously these cards would have went for way more than $500 K total even a couple years ago, so there's gotta be a few cards you bought to start that really exploded and led to you reinvesting the money.

What a clown comment. Poor you The jealousy is really showing. You must be one that thinks “rich” people should give away their money. You do realize most rich people grinded from the bottom to get to where they are. I’ll never understand people that post comments like this; it just blows my mind.

Anyways, great cards.

Any Picasso or Olajuwon?

Quote:
Le Rêve (English: The Dream) is a 1932 oil on canvas painting (130 × 97 cm) by Pablo Picasso, then 50 years old, portraying his 22-year-old mistress Marie-Thérèse Walter. It is said to have been painted in one afternoon, on 24 January 1932. It belongs to Picasso's period of distorted depictions, with its oversimplified outlines and contrasted colors resembling early cubism. The erotic content of the painting has been noted repeatedly, with critics pointing out that Picasso painted an erect penis, presumably symbolizing his own, in the upturned face of his model.[1] On 26 March 2013, the painting was sold in a private sale for $155 million, making it one of the most expensive paintings ever sold.
