I’m sure i could do it, but my company has been in the news lately for resale activity, i’d hate to be the moron that lost a good paying job immediately after that story was in the news. $3k is a good amount of money, but I don’t really need it, and I can always sell them if the day comes I work somewhere else. At one of my stores the kids always try to time their breaks around when the rep will be done stocking. I think they just need to be off the clock. They all call each when one of them sees the rep, perk of the job I guess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If the rep was the one stocking the product there would be none left for the employees. What most of these stores are doing is now stocking at random times on random days. The rep is stocking everything but sports cards now at most of the stores when he is there.

Some of my stores are doing something similar, the rep stocks some of the sports cards, but they give some to the store to stock later. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

A bunch of the stores they still hold the product behind customer service even with the "random" restocks. So that way employees will always get first dibs. The stores that don't I don't know. My local store the same 10-15 guys are there 5 days a week. 2 of the guys I've seen a handful of times recently. Was told by 1 of them that 1 day after they had got there stuff that more product was put out after. So really there are a bunch of ways the employees can get it without technically backdooring it if the Excell rep doesn't stock the cards. |

First time seeing people start to gather for a “potential” stock this morning at Walmart. Don’t usually stop by Wed AM so not sure if this is normal behavior or in anticipation of Prizm or something big and they aren’t taking the chance on missing out

Don't know if the swarm hit yet, but Langhorne PA has Optic Football, Donruss Basketball, Prizm Soccer, Topps baseball and an S load of Pokémon, all behind the guest services. 2 per sport, no idea on the rationing of the Pokémon but the guy in front of me had a stack. You're welcome.

I couldn't believe it myself - happy to get some but kills you to look behind the counter and see such as stash with no one else there.

on Monday Scheels had an endcap full of Series 1 blasters....priced at $29.99!
Curious how they are allowed mark it up like that. |

Target's new policy has it's pros and cons but end of day all it is doing is:
1) "high demand" - minimizing the number of pissed off customers who complain about not being able to buy cards. 2) "safety" - they are tired of flippers and brokebois without jobs from crowding around sitting around in the card aisle in their stores all day, every day. Also the "$19.99 and up" restriction is strange, so vendors will only stock hangers and cello packs now? And nothing is stopping them from handing off blasters/megas to their regular "customers" (who bribe them) and employees. |

This may just be me waving the white flag, but I don’t really get mad at Target employees or vendors buying the stock. The stock is going to be wiped out anyways. If they were taking from collectors, ok that’s bad. But all they would be doing is stealing profit from the flippers. Shoot, I’m not only impressed but would hire vendors who didn’t buy the stock (or tip people off). That shows me integrity + trust which you can’t teach. At this point, vendors would have been stocking product that is worth 3-5x more than the price for over a year. Millions in profit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

My rep told me about a year ago that excell tried to screen out people that collect or have kids who collect etc through the interview process. Trying to weed out the people who only wanted the job for access to the product. Probably not easy today as mainstream as this has gone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

At one of the local targets out here in orange county, you have to stand in line before the store opens every day to get placed in a virtual line. Then they will contact you to come back when and if the rep stops by to fill the shelves. There is an employee manning the aisle at all times checking for your virtual line notification. Found out about it today when i asked why i couldn't just buy what I saw on the shelf after months of not finding anything.
Oh well. my 8-5 prevents me from ever getting product I guess. |

Remember the days on the forum when everyone use to say "friends don't let friends buy retail" when people posted bad retail breaks? Ah the memories.

Any non-flipper who is fiending to open something in the Fontana/Upland/Rancho Cucamonga area: pm me I can tell you where I just saw a retail display of 20 plus blister packs of 2019 Topps Series 1 (if it was Series II I would be ripping right now, lol) baseball and some Football blisters too.
