This is climbing in price much faster than the MLB brand did in its first few months.

As you know, Soccer is International, and it's HUGE compared to any other sport. Was just a matter of time before the hobby caught up with the popularity of the sport.

Yep. I’ve been enjoying collecting soccer cards for a few years now when so many others said the cards would never be worth much. This Sapphire brand was a no-brainer from the moment it was announced.

Prices are going to go WAY PAST $2,000.

I think you can pump it up without being silly and comparing product increases from 2018 to 2020/2021.

This isn't a Sapphire feature we are seeing - most of the market has exploded in the last 3 months. If Haaland is in it, it's up.

The one sure thing I’ve learned about the hobby in the last 5 yrs is that SAPPHIRE IS GOLD. So It was a no brainer for me from the gate .. it was only a matter of how much I could afford at 300-450 a box at the time .. if I had credit cards, I would have a lot more than 10 lol

The craziest thing is that as reddragon mentioned, the typical Sapphire bump has not yet happened. This has more or less been Haaland related. It is a different sport so maybe the Sapphire surge never happens. I'm guessing it eventually comes though with more collectors/investors coming from other sports and the wildcard that is Fati.

The last sale of a box of 2018 Topps Chrome Sapphire baseball sold for $4750. Yes, those had autos and parallels in them along with Acuna and Gleyber RCs but there were also 700 cards in the set. These soccer boxes have a much smaller checklist (100 cards) so the odds are better at hitting one of the big guys. It makes me wonder how high these could potentially climb.

Yep, even the Topps NOW brand. I was “silly” for buying all those early NOW Haalands and other guys not too long ago.

I think I’ll just keep being silly. After all, I don’t know any better way to describe turning $2 into $1,000++ in a matter of just 18 months, and doing it over and over again.

Bro, I bought a 5-pack of the most recent Haaland. Sold 4 of them at $16 a piece. That was the MOST RECENT one. Haaland is straight fire.

People who have a lot of discretionary income. Couldn't tell you what they're doing, but if I had to guess, most are buying as investments.
