94-5 Finest #331 MJ - why so lively?

I've noticed a definite increase in activity and closing price at eBay auction for raw copies of this card in the last week or so, from under $100 to $150-200. Did something happen with this card?

It's the current hobby craziness plus Jordan is Jordan. THere are a lot of cards/sets from the 90s where the big names are at high amounts. Look at the EX cards. Same thing.

Maybe there's an uptick because it's Jordan only Finest/Chrome/Shiny/Refractor-like card where he's wearing #45 and ppl are looking for anything to set one Jordan apart from another.

#45 & first card to offer the coating - sweet card. Even sweeter if you can locate the error #23 jersey card.

THE most underrated Jordan card is the #23 Finest prototype. While the last one at auction did $10k, and another one that got lost in Goldin's Elite auction did $7.5k, they're still very undervalued.

it is a beautiful card, I was luck enough to pick this up before the craze..two are currently being auctioned off on ebay...yes the #23 would be great I believe I read there are only 15 of them but not a refractor? is this correct?

^^Sweet card. Yes, there are no refractors, unfortunately. Based on my research, I believe there are 21 of them. I may start a thread soon on the card to outline what I know and to hopefully gain more information.

Here's mine. I've also heard there are 20-30 of these. No refractors, but man if there were...

like gbpacker said, I believe someone got a great deal for under 10k on goldin for the #23 jersey...
