Great, I just got a Jordan RC graded a PSA 8, but I don’t have an extra few thousand laying around to pay the grading fee. Now I HAVE to sell to cover the fees. That’s why they say PSA is for flippers and BGS is for PC.

The pricing is going to make prospectors submit earlier more frequently than they used to, or else prospecting will begin moving to another TPG...again.

I spent about $700 to do a dry run with CGS as I was very curious how it comes out. I refrained from sending high end stuff but I did cook up a small mix of cards to sub. I figured where I have spent thousands with BGS and PSA, a few hundred more with CGS will not hurt. Competition is healthy as this marketplace is becoming lopsided and PSA-top heavy.

I used the law of averages to get a predicted net profit. I also subbed cards which are desirable in decent grades. Moreover, as long as it covers my outlays, I would get to see what kind of early bird mettle CSG has. Judging from sales on eBay so far, the demand is somewhat flat (aside from 2020-2021 Young MLB stars as well as some 80’s vintage basketball and hockey).

I’ve sent our 3-4 cards that will undoubtedly help recoup my costs. I can then sit on the rest of the slabbed stock and use it in raffles or giveaways if it becomes dead stock.

I’m looking at my Angel Villalona slabs and shaking my head.
Slabs are for PC for me, not prospecting. I know that’s where the $ is, but that’s not my intention.

Ok, got it. So it's more of a test run to see their process/returns rather than necessarily something you're looking to continue doing as a template. That makes sense!

PSA is a sham of a company that wil eventually go bust due to an even more massive grading sandal then the stuff happening now so it doesnt really matter. No diffrence between 400 million worthless slabs and 4 billion in my mind.
