They haven’t always been non refundable so it could be true if it happened awhile ago.

Those stores will generally give store credit, but not cash, without receipts.

Part of the screening process is (or used to be at least) questioning whether the potential employee collects any kind of cards, has a kid who does, etc etc and they try to weed out people just trying to get the job for access to the product.

the repack stuff in drug stores and series 1 topps is selling incredibly well. I go looking for hoops and the lower stuff is gone the day after it's in.

I saw the most disgusting stock of series 1 the other day. 20 megas, 30 blasters, 30-40 hangers, blister packs, fat packs. 80% of it was still there the next morning. No idea why the good product never gets stocked in those quantities.

Topps series one literally IS a flagship Product of the entire industry. And Topps sells a lot of it.
In a normal year, this isn’t even debated and problem just buy it.

It’s true. At least the two times it happened to me. But both times were odd hours and they weren’t obvious at first.

Hardly a yawn. Stacked rookie class makes those a no brainer purchase.

I buy a little bit of flagship to say I ripped some, but my baseball purchases are primarily topps chrome and bowman/bowman mega. Now if Wander or someone of that caliber was there to chase it would be a different story.

I’m not exaggerating that there were 50 guys there and everyone left it. People wanted Optic, Hoops and Shining Fates. I was close enough to the front that I got Optic with my limit.

I check a couple Walmarts near me on my way home from work on most Thursdays and Fridays (they typically stock end of the week around here) for about the last 15 months or so now and have only ran into them actively stocking twice. Several other times I have found it freshly stocked, but only twice with the actual person stocking. He was telling us he varies stores and times and never lets the Walmart staff know to try and protect against being followed, etc.

So I stumbled in this morning (my normal 7 am daily grocery run, totally wasnt looking for cards)...and I turn the corner and there it is - 200 Optic megas and probably 500 blasters

There were some weirdo young boys standing in front of me. Flippers. They smelled much worse than I. They had on some of those sneakers. Looked expensive. I flexed my Skecher wide fits on them losers. At that very moment the vendor pulled out his Sidekick and proceeded to two-way the rest of the pack. .03 seconds later, 5 more kids wearing hoodies with neckbeards that stunk like Black n Milds and OG Kush walk in. Vendor proceeds to dump 3/4 of the Optic into their carts. 1/4 was put into a specially ventilated box for the vendor..His name is Kip (38, no kids, lives in a cul de sac, favorite team is the Rangers) He said, "I always get some for my grandma. She likes to rip." I then watched these guys go to self checkout. On the way they each punched the manager once. I saw them outside and it definitely WASN'T for the vendors grandma. Outside, I saw them pull up their ebay account and list each product, one at a time on the sidewalk. At this point, Kip said, "hey, bud... Do you got a problem?". I said, "Hey, BUDDDDD" (for full effect), then I got in my car and went home and ripped the Series 1 I got. Its all available on my ebay account.

Where I'm from, it sure seems like there are some people that have inside info. If you're not there when the vendor stocks, you're not getting any of the popular product.

Let me help you out. Blaster boxes which have 80+ cards aren't typically like Prizm/Optic/etc (in football/basketball) where you're able to hit a number of cards that can pay for the box.

Your constant negativity and pessimism is beyond embarrassing. This isn't your worst work, but man. You must be a miserable person to be around.

Are you even serious? Welcome to collecting. It’s not about a quick flip for many of us. Oh and it’s spelled *yuck.

Unfortunately people like that will always exist.

Some of the best hits, including Ultra SP's have been found in the hangers.

Ironically, the only cards I saw yesterday that weren’t MTG were hobby boxes of Heritage.
